Application Of Social Work In Stress Reduction For Family Caregivers Of Children With Autism

In recent years,the number of children with autism has been on the rise,and more and more family caregivers are under great pressure,and the attention of family caregivers is obviously insufficient compared to the attention received by autistic children themselves.This paper analyzes risk events and needs projections in social support models based on interviews with family caregivers of children with autism and literature review.The pressure faced by autistic caregivers is attributed to information blockage and limited support channels;family functions are destroyed and conflicts are stimulated;the physical and psychological state of caregivers is disturbed;there is discrimination,and the caregiver's life is monotonous.In practical research,the author uses the working methods of individual cases and groups to intervene in different levels of research subjects.Guided by social support theory,the corresponding case and group service analysis is provided from four systems:informational support,emotional support,cognitive support,and peer support.After that,it was evaluated from three aspects: practical effectiveness,data measurement results,and performance of social workers and service recipients,and it was found that it had certain results.Finally,the advantages and disadvantages of the practical research on family caregivers of children with autism,the professional skills and experience of social workers to be improved are reflected,and the four suggestions of combining individual cases with group work methods,regularly cleaning up negative emotions,attaching importance to the construction and strengthening of support systems,and home-school-community linkage are proposed,hoping to provide reference experience for future research on stress reduction for family caregivers of autistic children.
