In recent years,primary and secondary schools in China have experimented with school-based training and developed many new training models.But for some schools,the implementation of school-based training is still confined to outdated models and a single approach,making it difficult to meet the current standards of quality teacher development required in China.Furthermore,the effectiveness of this training for the long term development of schools and teachers is limited.Based on the concept of core qualities,this thesis provides an in-depth study of the school-based training system in schools,in order to help schools develop a long-term and reasonable training plan,and to solve a series of problems such as school-based training being comprehensive but inaccurate,extensive but not profound.This thesis first used the literature method to sort out the school-based training development system and the concept of teachers' core qualities.Secondly,through the questionnaire and interview methods,a survey was done on a total of 220 teachers in three primary schools in city H to understand the development of school-based training based on teachers' core qualities in the sample schools.The survey found that there were some shortcomings in the content,mode,method and management of school-based training in these schools,and an attribution analysis was carried out to address them.These deficiencies are mainly reflected in the fact that the concept of teachers' core qualities is not really integrated into the content of the training,the incomplete training model cuts into the practice of the concept,and the outdated training methods and management tools fail to implement and guarantee the implementation of the concept.Finally,this thesis proposes measures to improve the implementation of school-based training based on the concept of core quality.These include: the content of school-based training should carry the concept of core qualities education;the training mode should be articulated to the concept;the training methods should help the implementation of the concept;the evaluation of training should provide real-time feedback on training information;and the management tools should effectively guarantee the implementation of training activities.School-based training based on this concept will not only truly improve the overall quality of teachers and promote the sustainable development of schools,but will also contribute to the professional growth of participating teachers.
