A Study On The Applicability Of Current Textbooks For IBMYP Language And Literature Courses

This paper discusses the applicability of current teaching materials for IBMYP language and literature course.I took the current teaching materials of IBMYP language and literature as the research object,took the research on the characteristics of the teaching materials as the longitude line,and analyzed the applicability of teaching materials and curriculum outline,teaching model and evaluation method as the latitude line,so as to put forward suggestions for the compilation of future teaching materials.First of all,I introduced the characteristics of IBMYP language and literature course,clarified the cultivation requirements and objectives of the international course from the perspective of ideas,clarified the three characteristics of the course: integrated learning,emphasis on process learning and diversified evaluation.Then,I conducted a questionnaire survey among teachers in international schools to get the feedback on the use of the textbooks.At the same time,starting from the textbook,I studied the format,reading content and homework setting of the textbook and analyzed the characteristics of the textbooks.Secondly,I further studies the applicability of teaching materials and IBMYP syllabus,teaching materials and teaching model,teaching materials and evaluation model by means of comparison,aiming to study the relationship between teaching materials and IBMYP language and literature course from a multi-dimensional perspective.Finally,based on the discussion above,I put forward ideas and suggestions for the future compilation of IBMYP language and literature course textbooks,pointing out that textbooks should meet the needs of course characteristics,curriculum outline,teaching mode and evaluation form.
