Great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation is closely related to talents,especially innovative talents who are important supports and guarantees of country thriving and prosperity.Training of innovation ability for university students is of great importance as it is one of significant conveying channels of innovative talents of the country.The problem ability is the starting point of innovative ability and is significant for training of innovation ability for university students,with important research significance.With critical thinking theory,constructivism learning theory as theoretical basis,on the basis of consulting and analyzing a lot of domestic and foreign literature and seeking advice from supervisors and related experts,this research makes an in-depth theoretical analysis of university students' problem ability from three aspects: constituent elements,relational structure and characteristics.On the basis of this,“Questionnaire for Problem Ability of University Students” was prepared with reference to existing mature scales.Undergraduates of H Normal University of Heilongjiang Province from freshman to the senior years were taken as respondents and questionnaires were issued to them,with certain quantity of students and teachers selected for interview.The current situation of problem ability of university students,existing problems and causes were deeply analyzed with questionnaire method and interview method,with corresponding training measures proposed.The research suggests that current university students have the problems regarding weak awareness,lack of questioning spirit,weak knowledge construction ability,lack of critical thinking,decline in metacognitive monitoring ability,decline in questioning enthusiasm,etc.Three causes with respect to individual factor,teacher factor and environment factor may contribute to these questions.In view of the existing problems and causes,training strategy was proposed from the angles regarding students,teachers and schools.From the perspective of students,they should develop their learning interest based on passion and interest,abandon utilitarian learning views and promote self abilities in knowledge construction.In addition,they should also develop good questioning habits and accumulate experience in online questioning.As far as the teachers are concerned,they should attach importance to key groups in classroom teaching,improve both online and offline teaching abilities and create a classroom atmosphere with question encouragement and mistake tolerance.Besides,they should also add teaching activities regarding practice and questioning and build a new student-centered relationship between teachers and students.From the perspective of schools,they should conduct training to improve teachers' online and offline teaching abilities,incorporate teaching quality into performance assessment and add critical thinking courses.Moreover,they should also encourage students to obtain a second degree and create and establish innovative culture.
