With the continuous promotion of the new curriculum reform,a number of outstanding new teaching talents have emerged in the language teaching world.The classroom research of famous teachers is the basic way for teachers to teach effectively,and the study of their classroom teaching is of great significance to the teaching nowadays.Xiao Peidong is famous for his teaching philosophy of "I just want to teach language superficially",and his unique style of teaching art of going deeper and deeper into practical texts,and his teaching practice in teaching reading of practical texts,which has formed his unique characteristics of teaching reading of practical texts and provided teaching experience for current teaching practice.The teaching practice of practical text reading has developed its unique characteristics,which provides teaching experience that can be used for current teaching practice.After reading Xiao Peidong's teaching works,articles published in core journals and other people's research on his teaching,and looking at his articles on teaching published on various platforms such as blogs,microblogs and We Chat,we first studied the reading teaching examples of four genres of practical texts,namely biography,speech,popular science articles and report literature,and thus summarized the three main features of Xiao's reading teaching of practical texts.The three main features of Mr.Xiao's practical text reading teaching are: language as the core,strengthening students' ability to use language;genre as the base,strengthening teachers' and students' attention to genre awareness;and student as the main body,allowing learning to really happen in the classroom.Secondly,we collected and analyzed local teachers' examples of practical text reading teaching to find out the problems of homogenization,weak genre awareness and low attention to learning,and to reflect on the current practical text reading teaching.Finally,it is concluded that Xiao Peidong's useful inspiration for language teaching and language teachers in teaching practical texts is to always pay attention to genre awareness and problem design in teaching;for teachers,to dig deeper into the value of "Ten Rules for Lesson Preparation" and use it effectively,to strengthen teachers' own text interpretation ability,and to pay attention to self-reflection after teaching.For teachers,it is important to explore the value of the Ten Rules of Lesson Planning and use them effectively,strengthen teachers' own text interpretation skills,and pay attention to self-reflection after teaching.Through this study,we hope to bring the teaching methods and strategies for front-line teachers to learn from,and to provide more effective help for their own language teaching practice.
