In the context of the new curriculum reform,history stories,as an important teaching resource reflecting the contextual teaching of history in junior secondary schools,are popular among secondary school history teachers and students,and have also become a key topic of discussion for many educational academic researchers.For teachers,the development of relevant history stories can,to a certain extent,supplement and enrich history teaching materials,enliven the classroom atmosphere,enrich teaching methods and improve teaching standards and teaching effectiveness;for students,by learning more history stories,they can better cultivate their interest in learning world history,increase their active learning and promote effective learning of history knowledge.However,in the current research on the application of history story teaching in junior high school,most scholars have used the development and application of history story materials,mostly from the perspective of Chinese history,and the research results are more systematic and mature,while the research on history stories in the world history part of junior high school is rather fragmented and thin.Therefore,this paper focuses on the development and application of history stories in the world history section of junior high school grade 9,in order to further improve and complement the development and application of history stories in junior high school history teaching,and to further systematise and complete this part of the research.This paper explores issues related to the development and application of history stories in the teaching of Grade 9 history through the author's internship experience,a questionnaire survey of Grade 9 students at her internship school,and detailed interviews with three Grade 9 history teachers at the school.In the introductory part of this paper,the reasons and background of the chosen topic,the analysis of the current situation at home and abroad,the literature review and the significance of the study are mainly explained.The main part of the paper consists of five chapters:Chapter 1 analyses and defines the concept and characteristics of history stories based on the summary and study of literature;Chapter 2 analyses the application of history stories in the teaching of world history in junior high school through the results of the questionnaire survey and interviews,pointing out that the realistic junior high school Chapter 3 elaborates on the principles,types,sources and meanings of history story development in junior high school world history,based on the specific reality of the survey and interviews as well as my own experience of teaching on placement;Chapter 4 focuses on the methods and techniques of applying history stories in junior high school world history teaching and the evaluation feedback;Chapter 5,based on the core literacy of history and my own experience of Based on the core literacy of history and my own internship experience,the fifth chapter develops and applies specific teaching cases of history stories in ninth grade world history to provide a methodological reference for frontline history teachers through the practical teaching of specific history stories.
