Willpower is a psychological process in which human beings control and regulate their actions to achieve the predetermined goal according to the established purpose.It is a unique psychological phenomenon in human society.Cultivating students' willpower is not only one of the essential qualities in students' personal growth,but also the specific requirements of comprehensively promoting quality education and implementing the fundamental task of Building Morality and cultivating people.The introduction of this paper expounds the reason for selecting the topic,research significance,previous research results,research methods and main innovations,which lays the foundation for the writing of this paper.The first chapter makes a specific investigation on the current situation of willpower education in middle school history teaching,and analyzes some problems.The second chapter summarizes the importance of cultivating middle school students' Willpower from three aspects.The third chapter takes this as the starting point.On the one hand,it selects five representative scientists from history textbooks,namely Watt,Edison,Nobel,Darwin and Newton.Through the historical narration of five typical representatives,this paper summarizes the performance characteristics of willpower of scientific and technological figures.Then,it summarizes the main will qualities of scientific and technological figures from the aspects of consciousness,decisiveness,persistence and self-control of willpower.On the other hand,we choose to listen to the classroom records of the above five typical scientific and technological figures to observe and analyze how teachers achieve the goal of cultivating students' willpower in the process of practice.The fourth chapter reflects on the cultivation of students' willpower in junior middle school history teaching.From the perspective of teachers,this paper points out the following points: firstly,teachers need to strengthen the awareness of willpower education.Secondly,teachers should help students establish lofty aspirations and stimulate students' interest in history learning.Finally,teachers should fully tap the resources of teaching materials,use macro historical events or historical figures' deeds to influence and edify students' emotions,and imperceptibly implement willpower education into history teaching.
