In order to improve the current situation of "one school with a thousand schools",the state has introduced a series of policies to guide the development of diversified and distinctive general high schools.Curriculum as the main carrier of school education,more and more general high schools have embarked on a connotative development path with special curriculum development as the core.It is of great practical significance to study the development of characteristic curriculum in general high schools,in order to improve the level of characteristic curriculum development in general high schools and promote the personalized development of senior high school students.This study takes the development practice of the "Combination of Morality and Law" characteristic curriculum of X Senior High School in N City,Guangxi as the research object,and investigates the objectives of the characteristic curriculum,the content of the characteristic curriculum,the implementation of the characteristic curriculum,the evaluation of the characteristic curriculum,etc.through literature research,case study method,observation method,questionnaire survey method and interview method combined with Tayler's curriculum development theory and schoolbased management theory.The study investigates the development of the "Combination of Morality and Law" characteristic curriculum in X Senior High School,explores the main problems in the development of the characteristic curriculum in general high schools,proposes suggestions for optimization and draws inspiration for the development of the characteristic curriculum on the basis of analyzing the causes of the problems,so as to help the development of the characteristic curriculum in general high schools.In recent years,the development of the "Combination of Morality and Law" characteristic curriculum of X Senior High School has not only promoted the special development of the school's characteristics,but also promoted the professional development of teachers and the improvement of students' overall quality.However,there are also some shortcomings: teachers and students have a superficial understanding of the connotation and objectives of the characteristic courses;there are conflicts of supply and demand between schools and students in the development of characteristic course contents and course arrangements;there are shortcomings in the construction of teachers for the characteristic courses in schools;the teaching methods of the characteristic courses are similar,and the supporting measures for the implementation of the courses are not perfect;there is a single participant in the evaluation of the characteristic courses,and the assessment and evaluation standards of the characteristic courses need to be improved.In view of the problems in the development of the characteristic curriculum of "Combination of Morality and Law " in X Senior High School,this study gives suggestions for optimization in five aspects: first,to clarify the target orientation of the characteristic curriculum;second,to enrich the content of the school's characteristic curriculum;third,to strengthen the construction of teachers for the characteristic curriculum;fourth,to strengthen the guarantee of the implementation of the characteristic curriculum;fifth,improve the evaluation system of characteristic curriculums.From the development practice of the "Combination of Morality and Law" characteristic curriculum in X Senior High School,this study has drawn four insights into the development of characteristic curriculum in general high schools: the development of characteristic curriculum in general high schools should be "schoolbased" : the development of characteristic curriculum in general high schools should be "internally and externally coordinated";there is a long way to go in developing characteristic curriculum for general high schools.
