To carry out the idea of "health first",effectively promote the school physical education work,enhance the students participate in extracurricular physical exercise of autonomy,on the basis of the self-determination theory(SDT),xi "an elementary student extracurricular physical exercise motivation and the relationship between exercise behavior,insight into the factors affecting primary school students extracurricular physical exercise motivation,strengthening the participation of physical exercise behavior;Lay a foundation for the expansion of physical education teaching practice.This article mainly through the literature method,data statistics,logical analysis and questionnaire survey method and other research methods,through the "sport situation motivation scale" and "physical activity rating scale" to measure the motivation and exercise behavior of primary school students after class physical exercise.Select xi 'an 4-6 grade to participate in extracurricular physical exercise of primary school students as the research object.Results: 1.From high to low,the motivation of extracurricular physical exercise of primary school students in Xi 'an is differentiated regulation,external regulation,internal motivation and no motivation.There are significant differences in motivation and exercise behavior among pupils of different genders and grades,and the amount of exercise in extracurricular physical exercise is generally low.2.Internal motivation and discrimination regulation were significantly positively correlated with exercise behavior(duration,frequency,intensity and amount of exercise),while external regulation and non-motivation were significantly negatively correlated with exercise behavior(duration,frequency,intensity and amount of exercise).3.Discrimination regulation and internal motivation can positively predict the frequency,duration,intensity and amount of extracurricular physical exercise of primary school students.However,the external adjustment had negative effect on the intensity of exercise,but had no effect on the duration and amount of exercise.No motivation can negatively predict the frequency and intensity of exercise,but has no significant effect on duration and amount of exercise.Research conclusions: 1.The motivation and exercise behavior of primary school students in Xi 'an are significantly different in different genders and grades.2.There is a significant correlation between the motivation of extracurricular physical exercise and exercise behavior of pupils in Xi 'an city.3.Xi 'an primary school students' extracurricular physical exercise motivation can effectively predict extracurricular physical exercise behavior.
