For a long time,the Chinese classroom has been "submerged" in a large number of specific texts and trivial knowledge.Students not only lack an overall understanding of the Chinese discipline,but also are difficult to form Chinese knowledge and ability suitable for transfer.T he Chinese curriculum standard for senior high schools(2017 Edition)proposes to take the big ideas of discipline to make the curriculum content structured.The big idea of Chinese discipline refers to a concept,principle or viewpoint that is highly general,in line with the consensus of Chinese discipline and can reflect the characteristics of Chinese discipline.It can integrate specific texts and knowledge,guide students to experience the "synergy" between specific cases and abstract generalization in authentic learning experience,achieve "learning progressions",and gradually improve Chinese key competencies in the transfer of the big ideas of Chinese discipline.There are two ways to extract the big ideas of Chinese discipline: top-down and bottom-up.Although it will be more targeted and systematic to carry out teaching according to the big ideas of Chinese discipline extracted from the top-down,because the current curriculum standards and teaching materials are not compiled according to the logic of the big ideas,it will be more operational and practical to extract the big ideas of Chinese discipline and carry out teaching in a bottom-up way under the current teaching conditions.In terms of instructional design,teachers can,on the basis of the "The Understanding by Design" proposed by Wiggins and Mc Tighe,Further combined with D.A.Kolb's "Experiential learning" theory,relevant learning experiences and teaching activities are designed to promote students' understanding of the big ideas of Chinese discipline.In addition to teaching based on the big ideas of Chinese discipline,it is also necessary to improve the curriculum standards,teaching materials and evaluation,so as to make the big ideas of Chinese discipline play a greater value in improving students' Chinese key competencies.
