Fairy tales,as a popular literary form for children,fairy tales affect the growth of children.At present,a large number of fairy tales are selected from various versions of the textbooks in China,whose implication is plain,if left unstated.In addition,fairy tales are highly relevant with children.These all requires our textbooks to choose high quality fairy tales,so how to make our textbook present better fairy tales? This thesis proposes to turn to the international vision,by comparing and studying the commonness and difference of fairy tale selection in Chinese edition textbook and American Wonders edition textbook,and then absorbing what its best and discarding the dregs,so we can improve and perfect the quality and level of fairy tale selection of Chinese edition textbook.This study summarizes the previous literature,and combined with the theory of related books.Through classification,statistics,data collection ways,and then from the value orientation,quantity and layout distribution,type and other aspects of comparative analysis,looking for its similarities and differences,can find its problems,explore the reasons and put forward solutions.After analyzing and comparing the fairy tale selection of the two editions of the textbook,the following conclusions are drawn.First,from the number and trend of fairy tale selection:compared with the American version,the Chinese version of fairy tale selection has fault and imbalance;compared with the Chinese version,the overall number of American version fairy tale selection is not enough.Second,from the arrangement of two fairy tale textbooks: compared with the American version,the selection of Chinese fairy tales lack of style and style;the illustrations of the Chinese version of fairy tales need to be improved.Compared with the Chinese version,the American version of fairy tale selection is single;lack of strengthening consciousness.Third,from the type of fairy tales: compared with the American version,the type of the Chinese fairy tales selection is unreasonable;the form of the Chinese fairy tale selection is single.Compared with the Chinese version,the number of different types of fairy tales selected in the American version is less frequent.Fourth,from the value orientation of the two versions of fairy tales,compared with the American version,the lack of critical thinking,the Chinese version of fairy tales is not close to the trend of The Times,the Chinese version of fairy tales lacks the awareness of group cooperation,and the Chinese version of fairy tales lacks the versatility of human nature.Compared with the Chinese version,the American version lacks knowledge reserve tale selection;the idea of helping others;the American version lacks aesthetic and psychological value orientation.According to the conclusion of comparing the fairy tale selection of the two editions of the textbook,this thesis puts forward some suggestions for the selection of fairy tales from the following aspects: first,to arrange the number of fairy tales in each grade reasonably and to strengthen the coherence of middle and senior grades;second,to strengthen the consciousness of fairy tale style and make up for the shortage of fairy tale illustrations.
