Specialty Construction Of Newly-built Undergraduate Colleges In Gansu Province:Current Situation,Problems And Countermeasures

With the rapid development of social and transformation and upgrading of economic industrial structure,under the dual drive of national strategy guidance and market demand,a number of emerging industries represented by big data,Internet of things and cloud computing have witnessed rapid development upsurge,which also put forward more precise and comprehensive requirements for talent training.In particular,the demand for application-oriented technical skills has become a general trend.In this context,Gansu Province's newly-built undergraduate colleges are actively transforming to application-oriented development,and training talents to meet the needs of the society by strengthening specialty construction.In general,some achievements have been made in the specialty construction of newly-built undergraduate colleges in Gansu Province.Specialty construction is linked with the local social development needs.Specialty construction and their own development orientation are basically consistent.Breakthroughs have been made in the construction of key majors.There are still some deficiencies in the specialty construction of newly-built undergraduate colleges in Gansu Province,such as repeated specialty setting,insufficient educational conditions,low quality of teaching staff and weak cooperation between colleges and enterprises.To a large extent,these problems affect such institutions to improve the quality of running schools and cultivate high-level application-oriented talents.Germany has achieved universally recognized "achievements" in application-oriented talent training and its quality,and has integrated "professional construction" and "talent training",realizing the mutual promotion of the two.This paper takes German University of Applied Sciences as a typical case and examines its beneficial in specialty construction practices and experience.The specific methods and measures include: standard professional setting procedures,paying attention to the docking of regional industrial structure,strict requirements for teaching staff and fruitful achievements in college-enterprise cooperation,etc.These experiences are of great significance to the specialty construction of newly-built undergraduate colleges in Gansu Province.In order to realize the construction of high-quality specialty in newly-built undergraduate colleges in Gansu Province,it is necessary to optimize the specialty layout structure,further coordinate the relationship between colleges and universities,government and market,and improve the level of specialty construction.To be more specific,the following measures should be taken to solve the problems in specialty construction.Optimize the layout of the specialty structure by promoting colleges to set up misplaced majors,taking market demand as the guidance,strengthening government supervision and other measures.Improve the basic conditions of running schools by increasing government investment and allocating resources rationally.Strengthen the teaching staff of institutions by increasing the number of full-time teachers,improving the level of teachers' education background,and creating a Dual-qualification teaching team.Deepen multi-party cooperation through the coordination and linkage between universities,governments and enterprises.
