Adolescents are the future and hope of the country,and their healthy development also determines the political stability and social stability of the country.However,many adolescents have failed to maintain their physical and mental health due to obesity and anemia.During the pandemic of COVID-19,infiltrating nutrition health education in biology class at a boarding high school is particularly important.By literature research method,we review foreign researches on nutrition and health education,outline the history and experience of nutrition and health education in our country.At the same time,owing to the limited development of the discipline pedagogy upon nutrition and health,lack of experiences among teachers responsible for nutrition and health education,and deficiency in educational funding,we further explore the concept of nutrition and health,theoretical basis in high school biology courses.These efforts may set up a foundation for infiltration of nutritional health.This is significant for enriching nutritional health knowledge and transforming the attitude of nutrition and health education.This paper uses questionnaire surveys,teacher interviews,and experimental research methods,and analyzes the current status and existence of nutritional health education in a key middle school in Anqing,Anhui province.In this study,the basic nutrition health knowledge,behavioral and attitude census of 768 students in a key middle school in Anqing were investigated.The results show that the BMIs for most students are out of the normal range,and most students are underweight.Due to the residency rules in boarding schools,students have a bad dietary habit and become picky with food.Furthermore,their nutritional knowledge is also lacking.Fortunately,most students feel interested in learning and have a strong will to get nutrition health knowledge.In addition,by interviewing with some teachers,most teachers have provided support to infiltration of health education in high school biological courses.This strategy may increase the students' interest in learning biology.The knowledge about nutritional health in chapter "molecule and cell" from textbook version(2019)compulsory 1 was summarized.Based on the literature,the infiltration strategy was proposed.Then,teaching practice has been applied among students in two classes in one semester.By comparative analysis of results,students' behavior on nutritional health have been improved compared to controls.Nutritional health education has also increased students' interest in learning biology and helped students to improve their daily diet.In summary,infiltrating nutrition health in high school biology courses is a feasible and effective way to improve physical and mental health of students.The conclusions in current study can be extensively applied in high school biological teaching and provide a theoretical guidance for biological education.
