| In the field of Chinese architecture, the excavation of regional characteristics of architecture is gradually subdivided and deepened.Architectures of different regions are explored according to different cultures, types and characteristics to solve the convergence and rootlessness.Inner Mongolia has formed a unique type of regional architecture due to its inherent characteristics of culture, society and other factors. To deeply explore its regional traditional architectural features and explore contemporary translation methods has a positive effect on regional architectural design. This paper takes the circumambulatory corridors of Tibetan Buddhist architecture in Inner Mongolia as the research object, deeply analyzes the path space of the circumambulatory corridors, and tries to find its translation method.Firstly, this paper sorts out the existing research results at home and abroad, combs the theoretical basis and previous research methods, investigates and summarizes the relevant cases of the circumambulatory corridors of Tibetan Buddhist temples in Inner Mongolia, and classifies them to extract the path prototype.Secondly, the prototype characteristics are analyzed from the perspectives of materiality and experience perception. The materiality aspect focuses on the analysis of the material composition of the circumambulatory corridors, including organizational logic, abstract elements and concrete elements. The experience perception aspect focuses on the analysis of the relationship between the circumambulatory corridors and the environment, and analyzes the circumambulatory corridors in Tibetan Buddhist Temple from the ritual and daily aspects of the path. Then, with the help of Isovist visual field analysis method, the visual experience of the related circumambulatory corridors prototype is quantitatively analyzed, and the differences between the prototypes are compared horizontally, and the correlation between visual perception and spatial material is summarized. Finally, based on the above extracted prototypes, starting from the two levels of ’ shape ’ and ’ meaning ’ of the prototype features, the case analysis is used to refine the translation method based on the path features. The translation of ’ shape ’ covers the translation of the material characteristics of the architectural space. The organizational logic of the path translates the spatial relationship of the turning path. The scale translation reproduces the scale of the space. The interface translation conveys the external interface of the turning path and the color of the temple. The light and shadow translation presents the internal spatial characteristics, which constitutes a single building. The translation of ’meaning ’ corresponds to the translation of the perceptual experience between architecture and environment. The ritual translation reproduces the rituality of the axis-type and mountain-type temple buildings. The daily translation continues the organic connection and site design concept of the temple buildings, thus shaping the connection between architecture and environment. The paper studies the circumambulatory corridors in Tibetan Buddhist architecture, reinterprets the temple space of Tibetan Buddhism from the perspective of path, and expands the breadth of research. The quantitative method is used to analyze people’s feelings, which provides the traditional empirical description analysis. |
