| Blockchain is considered the most promising emerging technology for innovation in many industries,including the construction industry.It is currently widely used in fields such as finance,the internet,and supply chain,bringing more efficient,secure,and trustworthy solutions to various industries.The construction industry is also expected to benefit from blockchain,which has unique advantages such as decentralization,immutability,and transparency,which can help solve problems such as lack of trust and collaboration,information asymmetry,and low level of informatization in the construction industry.At present,the application level of blockchain in the construction industry is still very low,far lagging behind other industries.How to promote the application and development of blockchain in the construction industry is an important issue that urgently needs to be solved.Therefore,this article focuses on promoting the widespread application of blockchain in the construction industry.First of all,this paper combs out the relevant theories of technology adoption behavior,and based on the technology acceptance model,according to the existing literature and the characteristics of the construction industry’s application blockchain,determines the factors that affect the construction industry’s willingness to adopt blockchain from the three dimensions of technology,organization and environment,and puts forward corresponding research assumptions,so as to build a model of the construction industry’s willingness to adopt blockchain.This paper designed and produced a survey questionnaire to collect data in the construction industry by measuring variables in the willingness model.Use SPSS and AMOS software to conduct data analysis and model testing on 256 valid questionnaires collected.The empirical results indicate that construction industry practitioners’ perception of the usefulness and ease of use of blockchain directly and positively affects their willingness to adopt it;Comparative advantage,competitive pressure,technological maturity,organizational readiness,and policy norms have an impact on the willingness to adopt blockchain in the construction industry through perceived usefulness or perceived ease of use,with competitive pressure having the greatest impact on the willingness to adopt;The impact of perceived adoption costs on blockchain adoption behavior is not significant.In addition,unlike previous studies using technology,organizational readiness has an impact on perceived usefulness,but the current impact is negative.To further explore the dynamic development process and driving mechanism of blockchain implementation in the construction industry,this article continues to analyze the driving factors and causal relationships of blockchain adoption in the construction industry based on the willingness model.Using system dynamics to construct a simulation model for the implementation and application of blockchain in the construction industry,the simulation results show that the implementation and application of blockchain in the construction industry will show an S-shaped growth trend in the next 20 years,and will enter a faster growth stage starting from the tenth year.Subsequently,this article enhances technology driven,organizational driven,and environmental driven to simulate the improvement effect of blockchain implementation applications.The results show that technology driven,organizational driven,and environmental driven can significantly improve the level of blockchain implementation applications,among which enhancing environmental driven brings the greatest improvement effect of blockchain implementation applications.Finally,based on empirical analysis and simulation results,this article proposes countermeasures and suggestions to promote the widespread application of blockchain in the construction industry.The research results of this article can help the construction industry understand the application value and obstacles of adopting blockchain,provide targeted decision-making basis for blockchain implementation strategies at different stages of the construction industry,and also have practical significance for the government to promote the widespread application of blockchain technology in the construction industry and formulate effective policies. |
