A Report On The C-E Computer-Aided Translation On Medical Texts

The Report of the 20^thNational Congress of the Communist Party of China points out that people’s health is a key indicator of a prosperous nation and a strong country.We will further reform the medical and healthcare systems and promote coordinated development and regulation of medical insurance,medical services,and pharmaceuticals.This translation practice,From JCI Certification to Hospital Accreditation,emphasizes the concept and practice of medical reform to develop a unique new system and culture,which is in line with the Healthy China Initiative.Chapter Five,Chapter Six and Chapter Eleven are selected for translation practice and research with the help of computer-aided translation software SDL Trados 2019.This book is a typical medical text,including a large number of drug names,medical terms,tables and data,as well as many long difficult sentences and passive sentences,which are key points in the translation process.Based on this practice report,the translator summarized the translation experience of medical English text.Firstly,the translator can accurately master the translation of technical terms and common abbreviations.Secondly,the sentences of medical English texts were translated according to common translation skills,and SDL Trados 2019 was used to ensure the consistency of the translation.Finally,in the translation of the chart,the original expression should be retained to convey accurate chart information.The translator hopes that this translation practice report can provide reference for future research on translation and computer-aided translation of such medical text,so as to better promote China’s medical culture to go abroad and advance the Healthy China Initiative.
