With the development of higher education in China entering a new era,universities are experiencing a transition from rapid expansion to high-quality development,which puts forward higher requirements for university administration and inevitably brings new work challenges to grassroots administrators in universities.The grass-roots administrative staff in universities presents a series of characteristics,such as heavy workload,complex work,and many unexpected events.With the increase of work pressure on grassroots administrators,the issue of job burnout is increasingly prominent.On the one hand,job burnout causes a variety of negative emotions in the grass-roots administrative staff in universities,which has an impact on their own development;On the other hand,it affects the efficiency and quality of administrative work and hinders the normal operation and development of universities.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the job burnout of grass-roots administrative staff in universities.This research takes the grass-roots administrative staff of X-university as the research object,using research methods such as literature research,questionnaire survey,interviews,and other research methods.Based on job matching theory,incentive health care theory,and organizational support theory,it analyzes and summarizes the current research status of job burnout and college grassroots administrators’ job burnout.Using specific means such as questionnaires and interviews,this research presents the current situation of job burnout among grassroots administrators in X-university,and processes and analyzes the collected data.The survey shows that the detection rate of job burnout among grassroots administrators in X-university is high,with emotional exhaustion and reduced personal accomplishment dimensions showing moderate job burnout,and depersonalization dimensions showing mild job burnout;There are significant differences in terms of working years and income factors,but there are no significant differences in other demographic characteristics.Based on the results of questionnaires and interviews,this research analyzes the performance and causes of job burnout among grassroots administrators in colleges and universities,and proposes countermeasures to alleviate job burnout from the individual internal level,university management level,and external environment level.The individual internal level includes strengthening psychological adjustment ability,improving their comprehensive quality,and making reasonable career planning;The school management level includes clarifying job responsibilities and authorities,improving the assessment and promotion mechanism,strengthening the construction of humanistic care,and enriching the organizational cultural atmosphere;The external environment level includes strengthening positive social guidance,building a multi-party communication platform,and providing understanding and support from families.Through the research,it is hoped to further improve the public’s understanding of the field of job burnout among university grassroots administrators,and provide reference ideas for effectively alleviating job burnout among grass-roots administrative staff in universities.
