Police officers in police stations have long been rooted in the grassroots front line,dealing with acute conflicts and cracking down on crimes and other difficult work."5+2" and "white plus black" have become the norm of their work.In fact,police officers handling cases in police stations have become the "depression" of the public security organs,and their work intensity and difficulty are higher than other police types.It is an urgent task for the public security organs to study how to maintain the stability of the police team handling cases,arouse their work passion and ultimately improve their work performance.At present,the existing incentive measures for police officers handling cases in police stations are gradually showing fatigue.It is a good thing to study how to seek new breakthrough points from limited resources,improve non-material incentive measures,make up for the defects of existing incentives,and effectively improve the work performance of police officers handling cases.This paper draws on Maslow’s need theory and ERG theory,takes police officers in police stations as the research object,and makes an in-depth study on the influence of non-material incentive factors on the work performance of police officers in police stations by using literature,questionnaire,interview and field investigation methods.Firstly,by referring to a large number of literatures and domestic and foreign research results on immaterial incentives,the immaterial incentives of police officers in police stations are divided into survival factors,relationship factors and growth factors.With ERG theory as the guiding framework,the theoretical model between immaterial incentives and job performance is constructed.Secondly,taking domestic and foreign mature scales as reference,the questionnaire of police officers handling cases was sorted out,and 249 valid questionnaires were successfully collected.Through descriptive analysis,reliability and validity analysis,correlation analysis and regression analysis of these249 questionnaires,the theoretical model between non-material motivators and job performance was verified.Finally,based on the data analysis of the theoretical model,targeted interview survey was carried out,represented by 9 police officers from a police station team,in-depth interview analysis was conducted on the problems and reasons existing in the application of non-material incentive factors to improve the work performance of police officers in the police station,and targeted non-material incentive suggestions were put forward for the improvement of the work performance of police officers in the police station.This paper focuses on two major issues: how non-material incentive factors affect the work performance of police officers handling cases in police stations and what non-material incentive measures should be formulated to improve the work performance of police officers handling cases in police stations,and draws three research conclusions.First,the non-material incentive factors have a significant promoting effect on the work performance of police officers handling cases in police stations.Secondly,there is a significant positive correlation between the three factors of non-material incentive--survival factor,relationship factor and growth factor.These two conclusions conclude that non-material incentive factors take into account each other,which can effectively improve the work performance of police officers handling cases in police stations.Thirdly,based on empirical analysis and interview analysis,this paper puts forward some non-material incentive suggestions to improve the work performance of police officers handling cases in public security stations.The survival factors suggest that we should attach importance to the construction of organizational atmosphere,improve the level of team building,establish a scientific and reasonable evaluation system,and build police culture and strengthen professional identity.The relationship factor suggests that we should pay attention to the communication with the police,and strengthen the care and help for the police;It is suggested to improve the training and development plan and promotion mechanism of police officers.
