| With the increasing international competition,the national progress and the development of The Times need more innovative comprehensive talents.This puts forward higher requirements for education.Only by constantly cultivating comprehensive talents with innovative consciousness,can the country achieve sustainable high-quality development and have stronger international competitiveness.At present,China’s education is gradually changing from exam-oriented education with emphasis on test score to comprehensive education with more innovative thinking and practical ability,and a variety of new educational concepts and forms have emerged,such as STEM education and maker education.STEM(Science,technology,Engineering and Mathematics)education,as a new interdisciplinary education concept and form,emphasizes that students solve problems in reality by applying comprehensive knowledge of multiple disciplines,and focuses on cultivating students’ ability to comprehensively apply interdisciplinary knowledge and practical ability.Integrating STEM education concepts into classroom teaching can stimulate students’ interest in learning science and engineering subjects,and ultimately realize the cultivation of creative and comprehensive talents to meet the needs of talent cultivation in China.Under the guidance of STEM education concept,this paper takes electromagnetic induction knowledge of ordinary high school physics courses as the main teaching content,and project-based learning as the main teaching model,to carry out case design and practice research of high school physics extracurricular expansion course.The first chapter starts from the background of the topic,expounds the purpose and significance of the topic.This paper summarizes the development and practice of STEM education at home and abroad,analyzes the research direction of STEM education theories at home and abroad,summarizes STEM education policies and application cases at home and abroad,and summarizes the characteristics of STEM education curriculum cases.The research method and specific research scheme of this paper are clarified.The second chapter defines the concepts of STEM education,STEM literacy,STEM education characteristics and the teaching design of high school physics,and expounds and analyzes the "learning by doing",constructivism,cooperative learning and intelligent multiple theory from the perspective of connecting theory with reality.The third chapter puts forward six principles of STEM education curriculum case design and analyzes the necessity and feasibility of STEM education and high school physics knowledge integration.Based on the analysis of existing teaching models,this study adopts the teaching model combining Project-based learning with 6E to carry out teaching practice activities under the guidance of STEM education concepts.Based on the knowledge of electromagnetic induction in high school physics and taking the making of "electromagnetic cannon" as the course theme,a series of courses called "The Secret of electromagnetic cannon" are designed,which are divided into four periods: the history and principle of electromagnetic cannon,the design of electromagnetic cannon,the assembly and test firing of electromagnetic cannon and the power of electromagnetic cannon.Students have explored the principles of electromagnetic cannon firing,drawn the sketch and circuit diagram of electromagnetic cannon,made and assembled electromagnetic cannon,electromagnetic cannon firing,and explored the factors affecting the electromagnetic cannon range,etc.Students learn electromagnetic induction in the process of practical operation.In the aspect of teaching evaluation design,according to the STEM ability framework released by UNESCO,and combined with the actual situation and learning progress of students in practice schools,a pre and post test questionnaire was prepared.The fourth chapter is about the implementation of STEM courses in a Y high school,and the reliability and validity tests of the questionnaire before and after it was issued,and the results of the questionnaire were analyzed and summarized.Chapter five is the summary and reflection of this research,and the prospect of STEM education and general high school physics curriculum integration research.Applying STEM education concepts to physics extracurricular activity teaching in ordinary senior high schools can effectively cultivate students’ ability of inquiry,innovation and comprehensive ability to solve practical problems in life,improve students’ core quality of physics,and help students achieve comprehensive development. |
