As a teaching method of art course in junior middle school,art creation class plays an important role in cultivating students’ practical ability and observation ability,aesthetic quality and innovative thinking habits.As a kind of action skill learning activity,art creation class not only has "knowing",but also has "doing",which is "the unity of knowing and doing".Situational teaching method,as an effective teaching method to promote students’ autonomous learning,is helpful to guide students to actively participate in classroom teaching,create an active teaching atmosphere,build a harmonious relationship between teachers and students,and improve classroom teaching effect.In the learning situation created by teachers,students communicate with teachers and classmates through interaction,and improve their knowledge construction imperceptibly.The application of situational teaching method in junior high school art creation class is beneficial to improve the question of "emphasizing teaching but neglecting education" under the traditional teaching concept and to realize the all-round development of students,but there are some problems in the concrete practice process.This study takes X Middle School of Luoyang as an example to study the problems and reasons of the application of situational teaching method in junior high school art creation class,and then put forward improvement strategies.Through questionnaire survey and interview,This paper investigates the application of situational teaching method in art creation class in our school,and finds that although the school has started to apply situational teaching method and art teachers have a recognition attitude towards it,there are some problems in the specific application of art creation class,such as:teachers lack the awareness of creating situations,and the quality of creating situations is not high;Teachers’ way of introducing situations is monotonous;The types of situational teaching methods used by teachers are single;Classroom lacks the sublimation of situation,and pays more attention to teaching than education.It is found that the reasons for the above problems are not only the lack of attention from schools,teachers and families,but also include:the mobility of school teachers;Teachers’ professional quality is insufficient,and they lack systematic cognition of situational teaching method;Students’ art professional foundation is weak.Therefore,this study puts forward the application strategies of situational teaching method in junior high school art creation class as follows:first,improve the quality of situational creation;Second,make rational use of the way of situation introduction;Third,flexible use of situational teaching method;Fourth,sublimate the situation;5.All parties concerned should raise their awareness of art creation courses and pay more attention to them.Hope to improve the use of situational teaching method in art creation class through the above countermeasures.
