As an important part of China’s education,vocational education undertakes the important task of training application-oriented high-quality skilled personnel.As the main body of teaching activities,teachers are the key factors to promote the high quality development of vocational education.In this paper the secondary vocational teachers’ professional development standards(try out)as the basis,according to the theory of lifelong learning and teachers’ professional development stage theory as the theoretical support,with western T city secondary vocational chemistry teacher professional development as the research case,using the method of literature and questionnaire investigation method,discusses factors affecting the development of western secondary school chemistry teachers’ professional,The countermeasures and suggestions for improving the professional development of chemistry teachers in western secondary vocational schools were put forward.This study not only for the research of western secondary vocational teachers’ professional development provides a certain theoretical and empirical basis,for upgrading the secondary vocational teachers’ quality,improve the quality of secondary vocational education in the west and training skilled personnel in the western economic and social development needs,promote the economic and social development and high quality will have a positive practical significance.This thesis consists of five parts.Firstly,literature analysis method is used to sort out the relevant literatures of teacher professional development and vocational school teacher professional development at home and abroad,and to understand the current research status of teacher development in vocational school at home and abroad.Second,questionnaire survey was used to investigate the status quo of professional development of secondary vocational chemistry teachers in T City.Thirdly,the main problems existing in the professional development of chemistry teachers in secondary vocational schools are sorted out,and the reasons affecting the professional development of chemistry teachers in secondary vocational schools are analyzed.Fourthly,in view of the existing problems,countermeasures and suggestions for promoting the professional development of chemistry teachers in western secondary vocational schools are put forward from teachers’ individual,schools and educational management departments respectively.At the personal level,teachers should research capacity;Strengthen practical training;Actively study and use modern educational information technology.School level: establish a scientific teacher evaluation system;Strengthen training to stimulate teachers’ endogenous motivation for self-development.Education management departments:strict access system for teachers;Building a diversified teacher training system;We will increase funding for teacher development.The research results will also provide reference value for the professional development research of other subjects and professional teachers in secondary vocational schools.
