The mutual selection mechanism between teachers and students plays an important role in improving the quality of postgraduate education,which has been taking as the primary link of postgraduate education,Therefore,it is of great significance to improve the postgraduate training mechanism by combing the development of the mutual selection system between teachers and students,when making an intensive study on its current situation and problems.Firstly,this research mainly takes the mutual selection system of master between students and teachers as the research object,four methods has been used: literature research method,investigation and research method,comparative research method and case study method to sort out and analyze the development of background in detail,documents and policies of China’s master’s teacher-student mutual selection system since the restoration of graduate education,so as to explore the development of mutual selection system between teachers and students.Secondly,taking the current teacher-student mutual selection system of twelve typical colleges and universities in China as the text,this paper makes a horizontal comparison of the contents and characteristics of the teacher-student mutual selection system of these twelve colleges and universities.Finally,taking the master’s student teacher selection system of N University as a typical case,this paper deeply studies its current situation,problems and reasons through questionnaires and interviews,so as to provide countermeasures and suggestions for optimizing the master’s student teacher selection system in China.The research shows that the current system of mutual selection has the characteristic,of which keep the the interests between teachers and students in balance,adhering to the principle of fairness and justice,and the systematic construction of system content needs to be strengthened.Taking N University as an example,this paper analyzes the following problems of the current master’s student teacher mutual selection system: the mutual selection process is rigid and formalistic;The process of mutual selection is not open and transparent;Lack of organization and management of mutual selection;The mutual election system is not complete.The main reasons are that the time arrangement of mutual election between teachers and students is not flexible enough,there is a lack of effective communication channels between teachers and students,the college fails to disclose the information of mutual election in real time,the function of management department is not fully played,and the mutual election between teachers and students lacks guarantee and supervision mechanism.The author believes that in order to solve these problems,we should realize the openness and transparency of the system,improving the fairness of the mutual election between teachers and students;Secondly,we should broaden the communication channels and enhance the scientificity of mutual selection between teachers and students;Finally,we should improve the effectiveness of mutual selection of teachers and students,promoting the system of mutual selection.
