Smart classrooms have been introduced into primary and secondary schools with the development of emerging intelligent technologies.The critical mission of the majority of educators isto make full use of the smart classrooms’ advantages and to effectively facilitatethe transformation from traditional classrooms to smart classrooms.Based on the Humanistic Learning Theory,the Blended Learning Theory,and the Constructivist Learning Theory,the smart classroomuses big data,cloud computing,the Internet of Things,mobile Internet,and other information technologies to achieve intelligent and efficient classroom applications before,during,and after class.Smart Classroom 4.0 is a version of the smarter classroom teaching system developed by i Flytek.It is a brilliant product developed based on Smart Classroom 1.0,Smart Classroom 2.0,and Smart Classroom 3.0.Intelligent teaching system.Drawing on 40 students from the 15 th class of the third grade of Qingdao Q Middle School,this study systematically examines the classroom management of Q Middle School Smart Classroom 4.0 using questionnaires,interviews,and case study.It includes the status quo and characteristics of network management,course management and teaching management under the integration mode of pre-class,in-class and after-class,analyzing theproblems and underlyingcauses,and eventually putting forward specific strategies.The results indicate that Smart Classroom 4.0 has played a positive role in promoting the school’s classroom management,enabling the teachers and students in the classroom management a better performance in network management,curriculum management,and teaching management,solving many drawbacks in traditional classroom management.The specific results mainly include: First,optimizing the intelligent network management of the classroom,stimulating students’ competitive psychology and desire for knowledge,and improving students’ learning interest and initiative.Second,initiating innovation management,creating a learning space station,and emphasizing open education,while promoting the overall development of students,carrying out personalized teaching for students,and cultivating their innovative abilities.Third,optimizing the course management and closely integrating the course design with the students’ real life.The students have authentic learning content,not just limited to textbooks,thus,being conducive to developing students’ learning mindsets.Nonetheless,the main problems found in this study are: First,some excellent students are prone to miss the opportunities to think independently before class,lack the freshness of new classes;meanwhile,some underachievers have poor autonomous learning abilities and teachers demonstrate undesirable management competences.Second,there are considerable numbers of factors interfering the order of classroom management,negatively affecting students’ learning efficiency.Some teachers clash over the school’s curriculum arrangement and perfunctorily use Smart Classroom 4.0.Third,there is a lack of teachers’ targeted and practical guidance for students after class,and the management of individualized evaluation is monotonous.In the end,this study puts forward relevant strategies for classroom management of Smart Classroom 4.0.First,pre-class management should be stratified,setting tasks for students to break through so as to stimulate students’ interest;setting up a group competition management mechanism to stimulate students’ fighting spirits and increase self-study commitment;improving teachers’ professional literacy in managing smart classroom to facilitate the use ofthe smart classroom management system.Second,it is necessary to build a harmonious smart classroom atmosphere,promoting smart classroom management;schools should create a personalized smart classroom management model to change the traditional education management mindset,optimize the construction of smart classroom network resource management,and carry out curriculum management seminars.Third,Smart Classroom 4.0 should be used to createportfolios mangingstudents’ growth;meanwhile,teachers are encouraged to conduct one-on-one personalized tutoring after class,and carry out diversified evaluation management after class.
