| According to the latest Blue Book of undergraduate employment report(2020),although the satisfaction of undergraduate graduates with their alma mater continues to rise, most graduates still believe that the teaching of their alma mater needs to be improved. One of the significant problems is that the classroom participation is not high, and teachers are an important factor affecting the classroom participation. This paper focuses on improving undergraduate classroom participation, because teacher factor is an important factor affecting undergraduate classroom participation. Therefore, this paper attempts to study how to improve students’ classroom participation.Starting from the influencing factor of teacher factor, what teachers can do to improve students’ classroom participation,To explore whether teachers can improve students’ classroom participation by using classroom incentive and management methods. This study mainly adopts the methods of interview and questionnaire to explore the current situation, problematic behaviors and influencing factors of undergraduate classroom participation in Colleges and universities, and on this basis, try to study whether teacher factors can improve undergraduate classroom participation. After the questionnaire survey,we have a basic understanding of the current situation of College Undergraduates’ classroom participation.Based on the discovery that teachers’ factors are important factors affecting students’ classroom participation,we build a model for teachers to improve students’ classroom participation, and then put forward the hypothesis that teachers’ classroom incentive and management can improve students’ classroom participation.Logistic regression is used to analyze the influence of teachers’ factors on students’ classroom participation, and to verify the hypothesis.Descriptive statistical analysis was carried out on the questionnaire survey. The sample data were college undergraduates, distributed in freshman to senior grades; Then the reliability of the questionnaire is tested.According to the results of interviews and questionnaires, the courses of undergraduate classroom participation are classified and discussed, and the influencing factors directly related to teachers affecting undergraduate classroom participation are listed. Finally, the model of improving teachers’ participation in undergraduate classroom is constructed, which includes seven variables: classroom extra points, peacetime scoring system, teachers’ expectations, classroom rules that teachers affirm, restrict and eliminate,teacher-student interaction, vivid teaching language and content close to life.Omnibus test is carried out on the model to verify whether the model is reasonable.According to the four theoretical foundations, this paper puts forward seven hypotheses for various courses, and then makes logistic regression analysis on the seven hypotheses of various courses to see whether the hypotheses can be verified.According to the verification results, teachers’ classroom incentive and management of students can improve undergraduate classroom participation. Therefore,in view of the current situation of the low classroom participation of Undergraduates in Colleges and universities, this paper proposes to start from the factor of teachers and give full play to the role of teachers in encouraging and managing students in the classroom,so as to improve the classroom participation of undergraduates. |
