The 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China elevated the construction of ecological civilization to the strategic height of "five-sphere integration".As the basis of ecological civilization construction,ecological civilization education has been paid more and more attention at the national and regional levels.At the same time,the Geography Curriculum Standards for senior high Schools(2017 edition,2020 revision)points out that ecological civilization education should be strengthened to guide students to form correct ecological civilization concepts.As an effective carrier of ecological civilization education,rural geography course is an important way to implement ecological civilization education.Therefore,it is of great significance to explore the current situation and teaching strategy of integrating ecological civilization education into the vernacular geography curriculum,in order to enhance students’ ecological civilization literacy and cultivate ecological civilization behavior,so as to promote the realization of ecological civilization construction.This research is mainly carried out from the following aspects.First of all,the current status of domestic and international research was analysed through the literature research method,sorts out related concepts and basic theories,interprets the concepts and connotations of ecological civilization education and rural geography,understands the theoretical basis of ecological civilization thought and man-land relationship,and has a more comprehensive understanding of the research topic.Secondly,questionnaire and interview are used to investigate the current situation of integrating ecological civilization education into local geography curriculum in Wulong District.However,it is found that there are some problems such as students’ lack of basic cognition of ecological civilization,relatively simple ways to promote ecological civilization education in geography teaching,and low frequency of teachers’ use of local geography resources to carry out ecological civilization education.Thirdly,from the characteristics and value of rural geography curriculum resources,this paper analyzes the feasibility of using rural geography resources to carry out ecological civilization education in senior high schools.Through analysis,it finds that there are many similarities between rural geography and ecological civilization education,and explains the teaching value of integrating ecological civilization education into senior high school rural geography curriculum.Finally,based on the survey results and feasibility analysis,this paper explores the teaching strategy of integrating ecological civilization education into local geography curriculum of senior high school from four aspects: teaching preparation,classroom teaching,practical activities and teaching evaluation.In addition,the section "Toward Human-Earth Coordination--Sustainable Development" in the second compulsory high school Geography course of the humanistic edition is selected for the teaching case design,which provides reference for high school geography teachers to carry out ecological civilization education.In this paper,the rural geography curriculum resources and ecological civilization education are effectively integrated,so as to enrich the theory and practice of high school geography ecological civilization education,provide theoretical reference for the high school geography ecological civilization education in other cities,and promote the continuous development of ecological civilization education.
