With the increasing popularity of basketball in recent years,the overall level of basketball has also been improving with the popularity.In the game,the confrontation of basketball has become more and more fierce,and the rhythm of offensive and defensive transition has obviously accelerated.In a high-intensity confrontation basketball match,the player should accurately predict the match and make the appropriate techniques move quickly in the intense confrontation,so it requires basketball players to have excellent physical strength quality,especially the strength quality of the core area.As the improvement of core strength has a positive impact on athletes’ competitive performance,core muscle group plays a role in balancing and stabilizing the body in the process of human movement.It also makes the study of core forces a hot topic.This paper mainly through the literature data method,expert interview method,through experiments,statistics,comparison and analysis,the definition of core area and core strength,the function of core strength,the method of core strength training,and the major factors affecting the shooting rate were investigated.Through an experimental approach,the traditional strength training and core strength training were carried out on 18 college students majoring in basketball in Capital Institute of Physical Education.Combined with the main factors affecting the shooting percentage,an in-depth analysis was conducted to investigate the effect of core strength on the shooting percentage against basketball,so as to provide scientific basis for the teaching and training of basketball.By comparing the experimental data,we get the following conclusions:1.In the experiment,the experimental group performed core strength training and the control group performed traditional strength training over an 8-week period.After the experiment,the experimental group and the control group took three tests successively: spot shot,emergency stop shot and three-second zone layup.Compared with the test data before the experiment,the three data were improved,the results indicate that the traditional strength training and the core strength training can increase the shooting rate of the test subjects,and have a positive promotion effect.2.After 8 weeks of experimental training,it was found that although the experimental group and the control group had improved in three tests compared with before the experiment,the experimental group had improved more significantly in two tests of counter shooting,namely,the quick stop counter shooting and the three-second counter layup.After the analysis of the test data of the control group against shooting after training,there was no significant difference from that before the experiment.In spot shooting,there are significant differences between traditional strength training and core strength training.It shows that core strength training has more significant influence on shooting percentage that it was much better than the traditional power training.3.Compared with core strength training,traditional strength training is not based on the actual situation and project characteristics of the students,but the overall exercise of body strength.The core strength can be practiced according to the characteristics of each event and the weaknesses of the athletes,so as to make up for the weaknesses and improve the overall.
