| With the successful convening of the 20 th Party Congress,to actively implement its important spirit and realise the fundamental goal of building moral character, the Ministry of Education has put forward corresponding requirements and recommendations for further strengthening the construction of Civic and Political Science classes in primary and secondary schools in the new era.Moral education in primary schools is often closely linked to the Morality and Law curriculum and plays an extremely important role in improving students’ own quality and moral character.Teachers should make full use of the content and means of moral education, pay attention to the development of students’ thoughts and emotions, and convey healthy moral values in their practical teaching. As a result, primary school classes on Morality and the Rule of Law have received much attention. This paper discusses the classroom teaching of Morality and the Rule of Law in primary schools from the fundamental goal of establishing moral education, analyses the current problems in the classroom teaching of Morality and the Rule of Law in three primary schools in H city, and puts forward targeted opinions. The first part includes the introductory chapter, which includes six parts: the reason for choosing the topic, the purpose and significance of the study, the research ideas and methods,an overview of the current situation of domestic and international research, the definition of relevant concepts, and the theoretical basis of the study, providing theoretical support for the overall research of the article. The second part is a study on the current situation of the teaching of Morality and the Rule of Law in primary schools.Firstly,a questionnaire and an interview were designed based on the relevant theories and the content of the study, and then a questionnaire survey was conducted on the teachers of Morality and the Rule of Law in three primary schools in H city. Finally, the results of the data collected from the questionnaire were analysed, specifically from the four aspects of the teacher in charge, the preparation before the lesson, the implementation of the teaching and the reflection after the lesson. The third part focuses on the analysis of the problems and causes in the teaching of Ethics and the Rule of Law in primary schools. The results from the second part show that in terms of the teachers who teach the lessons, the teaching arrangements in schools are not standardised and there is a lack of full-time teachers. In terms of lesson preparation, teaching resources were selected in a sparse and single-minded manner. In terms of teaching delivery, students were less enthusiastic and less interactive. In terms of post-lesson reflection, the evaluation system was incomplete. This was followed by an analysis of the problems in teaching the Ethics and Rule of Law curriculum in primary schools in H city. The analysis revealed that,in terms of the teacher-in-charge,the teaching management model was not scientific. In terms of classroom preparation, the teachers’ educational philosophy is biased, and their quality needs to be improved. In terms of teaching implementation, the subjectivity of the classroom is not sufficiently developed and is boring. In terms of post-lesson reflection, the "mark-based theory" still exists, and the evaluation is not comprehensive enough. The fourth section focuses on the teacher, the preparation for the lesson, the implementation of the lesson and the post-lesson reflection. In the fourth part, suggestions and countermeasures are put forward in terms of teachers, preparation, implementation, and post-lesson reflection. In terms of teachers, schools should attach great importance to the Ethics and Rule of Law course, strengthen the construction of teachers, and strengthen the management of teaching and research. In terms of pre-course preparation, optimise curriculum resources, change educational philosophy, establish a unified concept of knowledge learning and development of skills, and improve their own educational and teaching abilities. In terms of teaching implementation,we should integrate information technology, create a lively and interesting classroom atmosphere, make good use of teaching resources, and innovate ways and means to improve the efficiency of classroom teaching. In terms of post-class reflection,we should pay attention to teaching evaluation, improve an all-round and diversified evaluation system for students, and strengthen the analysis and reflection on the quality of teachers’ teaching. |
