The Working Regulations of Kindergarten clearly stipulates that we should cultivate children’s good moral behavior and habits.3-6 years old is the key period for children’s character development.However,the current children’s character education lacks theoretical support.Positive psychology provides a new perspective for children’s character education.This study adopts action research,taking cooperation as the theme of character education,to explore the feasibility and effectiveness of creating cooperative character education situation for large class children with positive personality traits,positive emotions and positive environment emphasized by positive psychology.This study takes the large class children in a kindergarten in Chengdu as the research object,and carries out an eight-week action study.The researcher found the problems in the kindergarten’s character education through interviews and observations.After in-depth analysis and discussion with the cooperative teachers,the researcher mainly used picture book teaching,picture book play performance,sports activities and various game activities.The activities used language,role playing,games,questions,multimedia and physical objects to create situations,Starting from the four dimensions of children’s cooperative ability(cooperative cognition,cooperative emotion,cooperative will and cooperative skills),the paper collates and analyzes relevant data such as children’s activity observation records,interviews between cooperative teachers and parents,teaching photos and recordings,teaching reflections and activity feedback sheets.Through qualitative analysis of the data,it is concluded that positive psychology is conducive to the creation of character education situation for children,and the construction of a positive character education environment can maximize the educational role of the situation;The character education situation constructed in a positive environment can help children create feelings with"environment",make children have positive emotions,and help children have positive attitudes towards learning content.The attitude,emotion,behavior and language that children actively participate in character education activities can enrich the created situation;Utilizing the positive personality advantage of young children can enhance their participation in the created character context activities.After two rounds of organization,implementation,reflection and improvement of action research,and in the process of spiral development,according to the research results,I put forward some educational suggestions,hoping to provide some reference and help for character education in kindergartens.
