Physics Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools(2017 edition,2020 revision)put forward the core qualities of physics including scientific concept,scientific thinking,scientific inquiry,scientific attitude and responsibility,further reflecting the importance of scientific inquiry.Scientific inquiry is not only a key content in the core literacy of the subject,but also an important task in physics teaching.Experiment is a more direct way to carry out scientific inquiry,and experiment is not only an important part of physics teaching,but also the main carrier of cultivating students’ scientific inquiry ability.It is an important content of physics teaching that teachers cultivate students’ scientific inquiry ability in experiments,and it is also the content of this paper.Its main contents include the following six parts:The first part is introduction.The research background is discussed,and the purpose and significance of the research are put forward.This paper analyzes the research status of "scientific inquiry ability" and "physical experiment teaching" at home and abroad,compares the physical experiment teaching at home and abroad,understands the current extendable research content,and determines the research content,methods and ideas.The second part,concept definition and theoretical basis.Based on the method of literature research,this paper briefly discusses the theoretical basis of cultivating students’ scientific inquiry ability in high school physics experiment teaching from three aspects: constructivism,Rogers’ humanistic view of learning and Dewey’s theory of doing learning.On the basis of existing research,the concepts of "scientific inquiry","scientific inquiry ability" and "physical experiment teaching" are defined.The third part,the basic situation investigation of scientific inquiry ability.Questionnaire is used to investigate the basic situation of students’ scientific inquiry ability in senior high school.Through statistical analysis,students’ cognition of physical experiment and ability performance of scientific inquiry are expounded.Students’ cognition of experiment is one-sided and their scientific inquiry ability performance is poor.Interviews were conducted to understand teachers’ views on experimental teaching and problems existing in physics experimental teaching.Teachers generally believe that experiment is the most effective way to cultivate students’ scientific inquiry ability,but there are many difficulties in the implementation process.The fourth part is the practical strategy of physics experiment teaching.Through the analysis of students’ questionnaire survey and teachers’ interview,this paper puts forward the teaching strategies for teachers to cultivate students’ scientific inquiry ability in physics experiment teaching,which is to pay attention to preview before class and let students bring knowledge into the classroom.Excavate the exploration activities in the textbook and analyze the exploration elements;Set up the problem situation skillfully,cause students to think;Strengthen cooperative exploration,expand students’ thinking;Constructing mind map,forming knowledge system;Adopt multiple evaluation and attach importance to process skill training.The fifth part,high school physics experiment teaching training students scientific inquiry ability practice strategy.Sorting out the resources of scientific inquiry activities in the textbook of Physics Required Course 1 of high school;Select three experiments as the practice content,according to the proposed strategy,design the corresponding teaching cases;The experimental class and control class are selected for teaching practice,and the scores of scientific inquiry ability questions in mid-term test and final test of the experimental class and control class are compared and analyzed.Combined with corresponding physics scores,it is found that the experimental teaching strategy implemented in this study is conducive to improving students’ physics scores and is effective in cultivating students’ scientific inquiry ability.The sixth part,summary and prospect.This paper summarizes the research conclusions of this study,puts forward relevant research suggestions,points out the shortcomings of this study,and hopes to put forward the cultivation strategy of scientific inquiry ability from more perspectives in high school physics experiment teaching.
