| Student evaluation of teaching is one of the important evaluation tools to test the teaching quality in Colleges and universities in China.It is also one of the evaluation tools that college teachers can understand their own teaching situation and teaching behavior through the results of student evaluation of teaching.As China’s higher education is affected by the new management system,the work management of teachers in Colleges and universities tends to be “performance”,and the results of students’ teaching evaluation can just reflect the completion of teachers’ teaching work to a certain extent,which is conducive to the evaluation of management work.At present,young teachers not only apply the results of students’ teaching evaluation to improve teaching,but also increase the use of students’ teaching evaluation results because of the setting of students’ teaching evaluation results by the management department.Therefore,in the process of using the results of students’ teaching evaluation,what factors affect young teachers to improve their teaching behavior is the purpose of this study.Using the methods of questionnaire and interview,in this paper 426 young college teachers were sampled and interviewed 6 young college teachers.After sorting out and analyzing the results of the questionnaire and the contents of the interview,the following conclusions are obtained: first,it is confirmed that the use of students’ teaching evaluation results,the publicity method and frequency of students’ teaching evaluation results are the influencing factors for the improvement of young teachers’ teaching behavior;Among them,the impact of the use of students’ teaching evaluation results on the improvement of young teachers’ teaching behavior can be divided into high and low: the impact of students’ teaching evaluation results on the evaluation of teachers’ professional titles is higher than that of students’ teaching evaluation results,which are used for the annual assessment of teachers’ ethics and the results of students’ teaching evaluation to improve teachers’ teaching.Second,the mediating variables-Young Teachers’ emotional investment in teaching and students’ attention to the results of teaching evaluation are also the factors affecting the improvement of young teachers’ teaching behavior.These factors have a positive impact on young teachers’ teaching behavior.In addition,when making descriptive statistics on variables,it is found that there are some objectivity problems that affect the relationship between variables.The relationship between the variables is affected by the unreasonable feedback times of students’ teaching evaluation results,the low integrity of the feedback content of students’ teaching evaluation results,the doubt on the credibility of students’ teaching evaluation results,the weakening effect of the use of students’ teaching evaluation results affected by intermediary variables,the low working enthusiasm of young teachers and the limited personal energy.It is mainly because the teaching management department has a deviation in the understanding of “teaching”,which affects the setting of the feedback link of students’ teaching evaluation results and makes students’ teaching evaluation results too performance-based;In addition,under the current system,the professional pressure formed by young teachers forces them to make choices in teaching and scientific research,and the young teachers’ lack of in-depth understanding of their professional roles makes the role transformation fail.Therefore,according to the above problems,combined with self-determination theory,this paper puts forward relevant improvement suggestions.First of all,improve the feedback link in students’ teaching evaluation,improve the feedback methods and times of students’ teaching evaluation results,and ensure that teachers can grasp personal teaching situation in time.At the same time,enhance the incentive effect of the use of students’ teaching evaluation results,and use external incentives to enhance the motivation of young teachers,but the most important thing is to meet the domestic needs of young teachers,so as to permanently drive young teachers to pay attention to teaching work.Secondly,improve the development system of young teachers.Enhance the role identity of young teachers,guide young teachers to complete the role transformation in training or daily activities,and truly become a teacher and educator.Young teachers should also be given appropriate growth space to meet their autonomy.Finally,the teaching management department should play the role of guidance and supervision,publicize the importance of students’ teaching evaluation,and guide students to establish a correct view of teaching evaluation,so as to ensure the authenticity of students’ teaching evaluation results.At the same time,in the process of teachers’ evaluation,it also avoids the negative impact on students’ rights in the process of teachers’ evaluation. |
