| Cultivating student’s core accomplishment and higher order ability is the focus of current education.Geography practice ability is the core accomplishment and advanced ability of geography discipline,and geographical investigation practice is an important way to cultivate students’ geography practice ability.Project-based learning is an effective way to cultivate students’ core qualities and higher-order abilities.It has obvious educational value to carry out research on geographical investigation practice of project-based learning.In recent years,"field trip" has become a hot topic in international geography education research,and much attention has been paid to the development of field trip activities and field course development.According to geography Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools(2017 edition,2020 Revision)issued by the Ministry of Education,attention should be paid to problem-based teaching(including projectbased and theme-based teaching methods)and teaching suggestions such as geography practice should be strengthened in teaching.Therefore,it is not only an objective requirement for geography education advancing with time,but also a realistic requirement for promoting geography curriculum reform to carry out geography investigation practice based on project-based learning.Under the guidance of constructivism learning theory,multiple intelligence theory and visibility learning theory,this paper carries out case design and empirical research of geographical investigation practice based on project-based learning through literature research,questionnaire survey,experimental research and other research methods.The main research contents and achievements were summarized as follow:(1)Questionnaires about implementation status of project-based learning and geographical investigation practice activities in geography teaching in senior high schools were administered.The results showed that the combination of project-based learning and geographical investigation practice was seldom studied and the empirical results were not abundant enough.Students were less involved in practical activities and their abilities of geographical practice were low.However,most of the teachers and students conceded that it was necessary to carry out the geographical investigation practice,and it had a good foundation for teachers and students to carry out the geographical investigation practice based on project-based learning in the geography teaching of senior high school.(2)The feasibility of applying project-based learning to geographical investigation practice was expounded from the advantages of project-based learning,the relationship between "project-based learning" and "geographical investigation practice",and the value of applying project-based learning to geographical investigation practice.(3)The implementation principle,implementation process and implementation strategy of project-based learning applied to geographical investigation practice were explored in this paper.The teaching mode of "planning project-entry activity-investigation and exploration-display and exchange-summary and reflection" was also constructed in this paper.(4)Taking “vegetation,soil and campus environment” as a case,the teaching design and practice exploration of geographical investigation practice activities of projectbased learning were carried out.The empirical results showed that project-based learning was helpful to improve students’ geographical observation ability,practical activity plan design ability,practical operation ability and other geographical action ability,and enhance students’ geographical practice attitude,practical will and other geographical will quality.The application of project-based learning in geographical investigation practice was beneficial to improve student’s interest in geographical learning and cultivate their core qualities. |
