In 2018,the "General High School Geography Curriculum Standards(2017Edition)" promulgated by the Ministry of Education proposed that problem-based teaching(unit-based,project-based,theme-based teaching,etc.)should be emphasized in teaching,and teaching suggestions such as the use of information technology should be deepened.The 2019 Guidance on Promoting Reform of the Education Approach in General High Schools in the New Era,promulgated by the State Council,proposes to strengthen the promotion of the deep integration of information technology and subject teaching and to emphasize integrated interdisciplinary teachings such as research study,project design,and project research.It can be seen that with the support of information technology,exploratory geography learning methods such as project-based learning are widely advocated.WebGIS is a network-based GIS technology.With the support of the WebGIS platform,geographic information resources can be used more friendly,efficient and simple.It is a convenient carrier for the presentation of geospatial information,and can provide a good platform for the development of geographic project-based learning.Based on the literature research of relevant scholars at home and abroad,and in the context of the new curriculum reform,this paper clarifies the feasibility of applying WebGIS platform to geographic project-based learning through research methods such as literature method,action research method,and experience summarization method,constructed a model of geographic project-based learning based on WebGIS platform,and finally carried out a demonstration through teaching cases.The research found that there are various types of WebGIS platforms suitable for geography teaching,and its functions for geography teaching mainly include: view operation function,data analysis function,dynamic spatial analysis function,map making function and so on.The application of WebGIS platform in geography teaching has obvious advantages compared with GIS and traditional teaching methods.Geography teaching based on WebGIS platform also has good opportunities:(1)to meet the new needs of educating people in the information age,(2)to meet the requirements of new curriculum standards,(3)the demand for the development of school informatization teaching,(4)the promotion demand for the professional development of geography teachers,etc.Through comparative research,this paper finds that the WebGIS platform and geographic project-based learning are in line with the concept,and the WebGIS platform can provide method support for project-based learning:(1)expand the scope of topic selection,(2)optimize situation creation,(3)provide learning tools,(4)enrich learning method,so the two have strong relevance.Therefore,it can be seen that the application of WebGIS platform in geography project-based learning is feasible.In order to implement and highlight the application value of the WebGIS platform’s geographic project-based learning,this paper studies the application principles,overall framework and implementation mode of geographic project-based learning based on the WebGIS platform.In terms of the principles of geographic project-based learning based on the WebGIS platform,it is mainly reflected in that(1)takes geography core literacy as the education goal,(2)takes science and feasibility as the project source,(3)takes authenticity situation as the learning background,and(4)takes student subject as the project drive;The implementation path of "three stages and eight links" for the WebGIS platform to carry out geographic project-based learning is proposed,which are mainly(1)project preparation stage-determine the theme,formulate project plans,and learn on the WebGIS platform,(2)project implementation stage-information acquisition,WebGIS analysis,formation of finished products,(3)project summary-display communication,summary evaluation.Finally,the specific implementation steps of the in-class view application mode and the extra-curricular research practice mode of WebGIS platform to carry out geographic project-based learning are expounded.In order to verify the application principles,implementation paths and models of geographic project-based learning based on the WebGIS platform,this paper combines the models constructed in the previous section to design two cases of "Where is the Guangxi population going?" and "investigation and Optimization Research on the spatial distribution of campus garbage cans--Taking Yong Ning senior high school as an example" 。 The two cases were practiced,and the effect evaluation and reflection were carried out,in order to provide experience for the future geographical project-based learning based on the WebGIS platform.
