With the progress of society and the continuous improvement of policies,vocational education is booming.Secondary vocational school education has the same important status as ordinary high school education,and its curriculum teaching is increasing in importance.Catering service and management is one of the core courses of high star hotel operation and management in secondary vocational schools,which plays an indispensable and important role.However,the traditional teaching methods can not meet the curriculum teaching of secondary vocational schools,and more advanced and appropriate teaching methods must be used.By searching the literature at home and abroad,this study collects and summarizes the relevant research of task driven teaching method and catering service and management course.Through the questionnaire survey of students majoring in high star hotel operation and management and the interview with teachers,the author understands the current teaching situation of this course.Find out the problems existing in schools,teachers and students from the current teaching situation,and finally put forward countermeasures and suggestions according to the existing problems.This study aims at the application of task driven teaching method in the course of catering service and management,including the following parts:The first part is the introduction.It mainly includes seven parts: research origin,research purpose and significance,research methods,literature review,concept definition,theoretical basis and research ideas of task driven teaching method.Firstly,the research origin part introduces the background of this research topic.Secondly,it expounds the research purpose,theoretical and practical significance of this research,the research methods adopted in this research investigation,the task driven teaching method and the review of domestic and foreign literature research of catering service and management,defines the core concepts,lists the theoretical basis of task driven teaching method,and finally presents the research ideas.The second part is the investigation of the current situation of the curriculum of catering service and management in secondary vocational schools.Through the investigation and analysis of students’ questionnaire,this paper summarizes the current situation of students and finds out the shortcomings.Through the interview of teachers in daily teaching,we can understand the current situation of teachers and the shortcomings of teachers.The third part is the feasibility analysis of the task driven teaching method in the course of catering service and management.The author goes deep into three aspects:the characteristics of catering service and management,the advantages of task driven teaching method and the feasibility of using task driven teaching method in catering service and management,and finally grasps the coincidence between task driven teaching method and this research course.The fourth part is the implementation and result analysis of task driven teaching method in the course of catering service and management.Firstly,the task driven teaching method is applied to the teaching process of "folding tray" and secondly,the task driven teaching method is applied to the teaching of "folding tray management".Finally,through the distribution of students’ questionnaires,this paper analyzes and summarizes the results of task driven teaching method in the course of catering service and management in secondary vocational schools.The fifth part is the retention of task driven Teaching in catering service and management in secondary vocational schools.The problems exist at many levels: the school level includes the lack of teaching resources and classroom management;At the level of teachers,the teaching concept is old and backward,and the teaching level needs to be improved;The level of students includes weak foundation and single evaluation system.According to the existing problems,this paper puts forward countermeasures and suggestions: the school level should improve the teaching resources and management mode;Teachers should establish correct teaching ideas and improve teaching level;At the student level,the task driven teaching method is used to enhance learning interest and adopt multiple evaluation mechanisms.Finally,the author believes that applying the task driven teaching method to the teaching of catering service and management in secondary vocational schools can achieve the ideal teaching effect.Finally,through the improvement of curriculum teaching quality,we can cultivate employees with good professional quality and exquisite professional skills for the country.
