Homework is an extension of classroom instruction and an important tool in teaching.The right amount of homework can have a positive impact on students and realize its nurturing function.However,at present,excessive homework has become a heavy academic burden for elementary school students,and homework management in many schools is in a disorderly state.Therefore,creating an effective homework management mechanism is the key to achieving the “double reduction” policy of reducing students’ academic burdens.The ultimate goal of homework management is the development of students,and to achieve this goal,all aspects of homework should be regulated: the value of homework,the amount of homework,the type of homework,the design of homework,the evaluation of homework,and also the participation of parents in homework.The author conducted a questionnaire and an interview survey with teachers,leaders and parents in J school in W city.From the survey,there are still some problems in the management of homework in the current elementary schools of School J in City W.First of all,from the school side,there are insufficient interpretation of the “double reduction” policy,poor training in homework management,insufficient management department,incomplete homework management system,lack of schoolbased homework resources,and one-sided content of homework management;from the teachers’ side,there are problems such as insufficient knowledge of the policy,large challenges in implementation,insufficient teaching experience,poor teaching and research,lack of homework design,and poor homework management.From the perspective of teachers,there are problems such as insufficient knowledge of policies and implementation challenges,insufficient teaching experience and teaching research effects,lack of homework design and single homework evaluation;from the perspective of parents,there are problems such as one-sided parenting concepts,insufficient participation ability and unscientific participation methods.In order to improve the quality of homework management,the school should strengthen the policy publicity,increase training and guidance,improve the homework management department,clarify the homework management system,build a homework exchange platform,and promote homework school-based teaching and research;from the teachers’ side,they should study the policy spirit and implement the policy requirements in depth,while strengthening communication and learning,improving homework teaching and research ability,and focusing on homework design and multiple evaluation in actual teaching;from the From the parents’ side,they should change their educational concept,relieve their anxiety,continuously improve their ability to participate in homework management,and improve the way of homework management.In conclusion,to achieve good results in elementary school homework management,schools,teachers and parents need to work together to improve the homework management mechanism,in order to achieve the improvement of homework management effect in the context of “double reduction”,and to truly achieve the reduction of students’ academic burden and promote students’ overall development.
