Under the background of education reform,improving teaching efficiency,cultivating students’ core quality,and cultivating students’ innovative spirit and practical ability are the key points of education.In senior high school geography teaching,we pay more attention to the cultivation of geography subject quality,especially the cultivation and investigation of comprehensive thinking.However,geography learning knowledge is very comprehensive.How to construct the knowledge structure and solve the complex problems in reality with the knowledge structure has always been the difficulty of high school geography teaching.Visual recording is a kind of thinking visualization tool,which has the advantages of clear structure、 prominent focus and thinking extension while adapting to various thinking modes.The production of visual recording is completed through the author’s knowledge construction by using key words,sketches,lines,frames and other visual elements.The process of making visual recording requires knowledge structure as content,and the left and right brains combine to process information.The production of visual recording can deepen memory,stimulate interest and expand thinking.However,the research of visual recording in high school geography teaching,even in the field of education and teaching is almost blank.This research will be based on the application of visual recording in high school geography teaching.This research starts from theoretical research and experimental teaching: in theoretical research,through literature research,collect the research results of mind mapping in high school geography teaching,summarize and sort out the research direction and methods of visual recording,and determine the research topics and ideas;In terms of teaching experiments,through the training and application of visual recording with front-line geography teachers,combined with the comprehensive analysis of curriculum standards,teaching materials and students’ conditions,the teaching experiment of "agricultural location factors" was designed,and tests and interviews were conducted before and after the experiment to explore the impact of high school geography teaching based on visual recording on students’ performance,comprehensive thinking,classroom teaching effects and teachers’ and students’ attitudes.Through the comprehensive analysis of the results of teaching experiments and interviews,the research finds that: first,the application of visual recording in high school geography teaching can improve students’ Geography performance and improve learning efficiency;Second,the application of visual recording in high school geography teaching has a positive impact on students’ comprehensive thinking;Third,the application of visual recording in senior high school geography teaching classroom has better effect and high recognition of teachers and students.Fourthly,visual recording can be used in both classroom teaching and after class notes in senior high school geography teaching,but there are difficulties and negative effects.Therefore,the conditions and scope of the use of visual notes,as well as detailed coping strategies,are proposed.At the same time,in the implementation of teaching practice,the following experiences are summarized: first,geography teaching has always focused on the training objectives required by the curriculum standards,closely linked to the core quality,and established a correct teaching concept;Second,the application of visual recoding requires careful design of teaching and puts students in the main position;Third,to give full play to the advantages of visual recoding,we also need diversified evaluation incentives and fine after-school management;Finally,visual recoding are only a learning tool,which should be properly used in combination with the learning situation,and should not be abused.With the advancement of education reform,geography teaching in senior high school is undergoing great changes.In the process of this change,the situation in different regions and schools is different.However,the comprehensiveness of geography and its visual characteristics will not change,and the point of convergence with visual recording will not change.This research is based on the teaching research of Chongqing y middle school(the key middle school in Chongqing city).Referring to the research method of mind map in geography teaching,the application research of visual recording in geography teaching in high school is explored.It provides new tools and methods for geography teaching in high school and takes the first step for the application research of visual recording in geography teaching.
