As a basic athletics project,javelin is an important learning content of athletics courses for students majoring in physical education.Javelin throwing technology is more complicated,the amount of information contained between each technical link is too much,most of the traditional teaching is teacher-centered,and there is a lack of consideration for students’ independent learning ability,resulting in students’ reduced enthusiasm for learning in the face of complex learning tasks and low participation in the classroom.Therefore,from the perspective of teaching mode innovation,this paper integrates the flipped classroom teaching mode into the teaching of track and field javelin course,and discusses the influence of the design and implementation of the flipped classroom teaching mode on the learning of javelin technique of physical education,so as to improve the teaching effect of javelin project.This paper adopts literature method,expert interview method,questionnaire survey method,teaching experiment method and mathematical and statistical method to study the design and implementation effect of flipped classroom teaching mode in physical education major javelin teaching.30 students in 2 classes of physical education major athletics general course of Wuhan Institute of Physical Education,class of 2022,divided into experimental class and control class of 15 students each,were used as the experimental subjects.The experimental class was taught by flipped classroom teaching mode,and the control class was taught by traditional classroom teaching mode.The experimental data measured were statistically analyzed,and the differences between the indicators before and after the experiment were compared to analyze the teaching effects of different teaching modes,aiming to provide theoretical and practical basis for the innovation of physical education teaching methods in colleges and universities.Study results:(1)In terms of physical fitness,there was no significant difference between the 30-meter run and the standing triple jump(P>0.05)after the experimental class and the control class were taught experiments,and there were significant differences between the front solid ball and the shot put in place(P<0.05).(2)In terms of learning interest,there were significant differences in the four dimensions of students’ interest in athletics course and javelin gun technique after teaching experiments in experimental and control classes(P<0.05).(3)In terms of technical evaluation and standard achievement,there were differences between the students of the experimental class and the control class in their technical performance of javelin after the teaching experiment,and there were significant differences in the standard achievement(P < 0.05).(4)In terms of theoretical knowledge acquisition,after the teaching experiment,the mean scores of the theoretical scores of the students in the experimental class were higher than those of the students in the control class,with significant differences(P < 0.05).Research Conclusion:(1)The flipped classroom model has almost the same effect on improving students’ physical quality in the short term compared with the traditional model,and it does not have the obvious effect of improving students’ physical quality.(2)Compared with the traditional model,the flipped classroom model has enhanced students’ main status and stimulated their learning interest in terms of information technology means,teaching design innovation and various forms of exercises.The students in the experimental class were generally more interested in learning javelin than those in the control class,and most of them preferred the flipped classroom teaching.(3)In the flipped classroom mode,the students in the experimental class mastered javelin skills and achieved the standard rate higher than those in the control class,and the performance of the experimental class improved more,and they could learn and master javelin skills better.(4)In the flipped classroom mode,the students in the experimental class mastered the theoretical knowledge of javelin significantly better than the students in the control class,and were able to solve practical problems better in the whole teaching process.
