The “Window of Learning and Thinking” Column plays a significant role in the text auxiliary columns of the Outline of Chinese and Foreign History,the unified edition of the history textbook in the senior high school.The Column is presented in the way of “materials +questions”.In the process of solving the questions,student’s core literacy in history discipline can be cultivated and improved,and principles of fostering virtue through education can be realized.Therefore,It is of great significance to study the application of "window of Learning and thinking" for history education and teaching in middle school.Taking the “Window of Learning and Thinking” Column of the Outline of Chinese and Foreign History as the object of study,the thesis classifies the content of the Column,which embodies the “student-oriented” concept under the new curriculum reform.Through the teacher interviews,student questionnaire surveys and classroom observations in the XXX area of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region,the situation in the practical teaching of the “Window of Learning and Thinking” Column in this area can be well understood,and five problems can be found: the low attention to the “Window of Learning and Thinking” Column,the shortage of professional knowledge,the lack of timely updating of educational ideas,the lack of students’ self-learning,and the insufficiency of reading and analysis ability.In view of the problems existing in the application of the “Window of Learning and Thinking” Column at present,the thesis puts forward some corresponding strategies: the students’ learning initiative should be fully developed under the guidance of the new educational concept;the teaching design should be carefully arranged based on teachers’ excellent professional quality;the“Window of Learning and Thinking” Column should be thoroughly prepared depending on the intensive study and reading before class;the core literacy should be carried out based on the flexible use of the Column;the ability of students’ reading and analysis should be improved by strengthening the guidance of teaching methods;the feedback should also be evaluated immediately after the timely reflection and summary.Finally,taking lesson 5,“Regime Change and Ethnic Integration during the Period from Three Kingdoms to the Southern and Northern Dynasties” of the Outline of Chinese and Foreign History(I)as an example,the thesis expounds the concrete application of the “Window of Learning and Thinking” Column in the history teaching in senior high school.The study of the “Window of Learning and Thinking” Column of the Outline of Chinese and Foreign History can deepen student’s understanding of this Column,and help teachers apply it reasonably and scientifically to better complete the teaching tasks.It is envisaged that this study will provide some reference for history teachers on the front lines of senior high schools as they apply the “Window of Learning and Thinking” Column.
