| Historical maps are images representing the development and change in all aspects of human history in different historical periods and different regional space,which have the characteristics of intuition,richness and dynamic nature.As one of the most important teaching resources in high school history course,historical maps play a strong supporting role in cultivating the core quality of history subject for high school students.Based on the requirements of textbook compilation in the History Curriculum Standards for General High Schools(2017 edition 2020 Revision),the historical maps in the unified edition of high school history textbooks are more scientific and rigorous,which are conducive to teaching.In the Compendium of Chinese and Foreign History(Ⅱ),the historical maps can reflect the multi-source and diversity world history development.On the basis of combining scientific and ideological teaching principles,this textbook highlights the reconstruction of time and space elements of important historical events and phenomenons,cultivates high school students’ world consciousness,international vision and history learning interest.Therefore,this paper will make a systematic study on the application of historical maps in the Compendium of Chinese and Foreign History(Ⅱ).Starting with the macro level,the study is built on the historical educators’ views and related teaching theories,which comprehensively discusses the concept and importance of historical maps in teaching.On this basis,this paper conducts the micro-level study,and makes the detailed analysis of the classification,characteristics,functions,requirements,principles of the historical maps in the Compendium of Chinese and Foreign History(Ⅱ).Finally,the study gradually changes from theory to practice.It will build a basic framework of the historical maps teaching and point out the direction of the teaching activities.Taking the teaching notion of "teacher-led and student-oriented" as the foundation,the teaching methods of the historical maps in Compendium of Chinese and Foreign History(Ⅱ)are studied with the help of teaching cases,so as to provide suggestions for front-line teaching. |
