| Project-based teaching is a teaching mode in which students solve personalized research problems by reading,discussion,inquiry and other methods in the specific task situation created by the teacher.The rational use of project-based teaching mode in the teaching of modern and contemporary novels in high school Chinese plays an important role in improving the reading ability and thinking quality of high school students,improving the efficiency of classroom teaching,and promoting the common progress of teachers and students.This study investigates the current situation of the use of the project-based teaching mode in the teaching of modern and contemporary novels in high schools,and finds that the current project-based teaching of modern and contemporary novels has problems in students’ insufficient learning initiative,weak awareness of problem inquiry,insufficient awareness of self-reflection,ambiguous positioning of students,and teachers’ teaching.Combined with classroom observation and analysis,it is concluded that the reasons for the above deficiencies are that a large number of test-taking training dissipates students’ interest in reading,teachers’ one-sided understanding of project-based teaching,and students’ rigid thinking,etc.,which hinders the special project-based mode from giving play to its unique advantages,so that students feel difficult to learn due to the increase in reading volume and difficulty in the process of modern and contemporary novel special topic learning,and lose interest in learning,and the application of project-based teaching mode in modern and contemporary novel teaching is difficult to develop.This paper expounds the process of applying the project-based teaching mode in the teaching of modern and contemporary novels in high schools from the four steps of establishing the teaching objectives,selecting teaching content,rationally using teaching methods and effectively using teaching evaluation.In determining the objectives of project-based teaching,it is necessary to rely on the learning task group,take the content of the teaching materials as the starting point.In the selection of teaching content,it is always necessary to select appropriate extracurricular reading materials based on in-class texts,including information on the life and creative background of the writer,appreciation and explanatory articles of relevant scholars,and challenging articles that can lead students’ thinking.In terms of the selection of teaching methods,this paper proposes that teachers should be good at using network resources when organizing special topics in modern and contemporary novels,and rationally use situational teaching methods,cooperative inquiry methods,and combination of reading and writing methods.In terms of teaching evaluation,teachers should determine the evaluation subject and evaluation angle according to the different teaching stages,so as to dynamically present the effect of special topic teaching.This study puts forward three issues that should be paid attention to in the application of the project-based teaching model in the teaching of modern and contemporary novels in high schools,and emphasizes that teachers should be based on the project-based learning situation when formulating the project teaching objectives,so as to avoid increasing the burden of students and promoting the gradual development of students.The implementation of the project-based teaching mode requires teachers to pay attention to teaching generation,creatively organize teaching activities,and adopt personalized methods for teaching evaluation. |
