The teaching of ancient poetry and lyrics in high school is an indispensable part of Chinese reading teaching,which plays an important role in cultivating students’ aesthetic literacy and improving their thinking ability.However,there are still situations in the current teaching of ancient Chinese poetry and lyrics in high school,such as a lack of focus on teaching,and complex and fragmented teaching issues.Mr.Ni Wenjin proposed the focus reading method in response to the problem of "full questioning" in teaching.The focus reading method is a mode of problem-based learning,focusing on teaching.In teaching,attention should be paid to focusing on basic problems,clarifying problem levels,and constructing problem chains.Starting from the focus reading method proposed by Ni Wenjin,this paper explores the application of focus reading method in the teaching of ancient poetry in high school,hoping to provide a new perspective and direction for the teaching of ancient poetry in high school.The paper first explores the correlation between the focus reading method and high school ancient poetry teaching.On the basis of introducing the concept,characteristics,concepts,and principles of focus reading method,a comparative analysis is conducted between focus reading method and relevant teaching methods.The scientific and theoretical basis of integrating focus reading method into high school ancient poetry teaching is elaborated from three aspects: student subject,high school Chinese curriculum standards,and the selection and compilation of unified high school Chinese ancient poetry;Secondly,a survey questionnaire was used to understand the current situation of teaching ancient Chinese poetry in high school;Based on the survey questionnaire,this study explores the application strategies of the focus reading method in the teaching of ancient poetry and lyrics in high schools in response to the current teaching situation;The final part is the organic integration of theory and practice,which applies the focus reading method to the design and practice of individual teaching in poetry and lyrics,and reflects on the teaching effectiveness,in order to test the rationality of teaching strategies in high school ancient poetry teaching practice.On the basis of previous research results,using literature research methods,survey questionnaires,and practical observation methods,it was found that there are shallow teaching problems,fixed teaching methods,unfocused teaching priorities,and inconsistent teaching logic in the current teaching of ancient Chinese poetry in high schools.Based on the current situation of high school Chinese ancient poetry teaching,this paper proposes the application strategy of focus reading method in high school Chinese ancient poetry teaching from five aspects: positioning the focus,extracting problems,clarifying levels,constructing problem chains,and paying attention to core competencies,in order to optimize the teaching mode of ancient poetry and provide new teaching ideas for ancient poetry teaching.
