The General High School Physics Curriculum Standard(2017 edition)proposed that on the basis of focusing on the traditional teaching of physics knowledge,further attention needs to be paid to students’ ability to use physics knowledge to solve practical problems in their lives and their ability to conduct scientific explorations.Therefore,physics teachers are required to improve their comprehensive quality,enrich classroom formats,and create diverse,dynamic,and targeted teaching activities.The author first conducted a survey on the current situation of experimental teaching in the physics classroom of the internship school.The survey results showed that the number of experiments conducted in the classroom was little and the quality was low,and the teacher often explain experiments using blackboard writing,while most students had a positive attitude towards experiments and thought that experiments were helpful for them to learn physics.It can be seen that the current experimental teaching situation in this school cannot meet the students’ needs for physics experiments,and the use of the POE teaching strategy in the physics classroom can perfectly remedy the lack of experimental teaching at this stage.The author sorts out the relevant theories of the POE teaching strategy,and then based on this,analyzes how to apply the POE teaching strategy in Chapter 4 of the new version of the high school physics textbook,and designs a teaching plan for that unit that integrates the POE teaching strategy to meet the actual situation of students.Subsequently,an in-depth classroom study of teaching practices was conducted.The author selected six classes in the senior grade one as the experimental group to implement the POE teaching strategy for teaching.After finishing teaching,each student’s in-class learning task list and learning attitude questionnaire were collected to analyze the impact of POE teaching strategy on students’ learning interest and core literacy in actual teaching.Three senior physics teachers were interviewed after the lesson to find out the real opinions of front-line high school physics teachers on the POE teaching strategy.According to the conclusion of the practice,the shortcomings in the designed teaching plan were identified and optimized to help the author’s future physics teaching and to provide reference for other physics teachers’ teaching.The findings show that the POE teaching strategy can help students think more comprehensively about problems and help them apply what they have learned in explaining real-world phenomena;Both students and teachers have positive attitudes toward the POE teaching strategy,believing that the strategy makes the classroom more interesting,increases students’ classroom participation,and also helps foster students’ core literacy.Teachers also suggested that lecturers need to monitor students’ explanatory sessions in order to achieve better teaching results. |
