Against the backdrop of economic and social transformation and development,the demand for high-quality skilled and innovative talents in society is increasing day by day."Logistics Foundation" is one of the compulsory basic courses for finance and commerce majors in secondary vocational schools,with the teaching goal of cultivating logistics professionals with basic theoretical knowledge,practical operation skills,and core professional abilities.However,there are common phenomena in the current teaching process,such as students’ weak mastery of professional knowledge and unskilled operation of professional skills,which are not conducive to achieving the training goals of vocational education.Therefore,innovation in teaching methods is imperative.The retrieval practice is a teaching method that guides students to participate in the classroom,promotes long-term retention of knowledge memory,and cultivates students’ ability to apply,analyze,evaluate,and create through various retrieval activities.It meets the educational goals of secondary vocational schools and can cultivate high-quality skilled and innovative talents that meet the new needs of social development.This study attempts to apply the retrieval practice method to the teaching of the course "Logistics Foundation" in secondary vocational schools,and explores whether using the retrieval practice method can improve the learning effect of the course.The research is mainly divided into six parts: The first part is the introduction,which mainly elaborates on the research background,purpose,and significance of this article,and summarizes and comments on the current research status of retrieval practice at home and abroad.The second part defines the core concepts of retrieval and retrieval practice effects,and sorts out the relevant theoretical foundations.The third part uses questionnaire survey and interview methods to summarize and analyze the current teaching situation of the "Logistics Foundation" course in secondary vocational schools.The fourth part retrieval practice teaching design based on the current teaching situation,including teaching objectives,teaching content,teaching resources,teaching process,and teaching evaluation.The fifth part focuses on the teaching practice of students majoring in Logistics Service and Management at a 2021 secondary vocational college in Guiyang.The learning effectiveness of free recall retrieval practice,prompt retrieval practice,and repeated learning is compared through student academic performance,questionnaire survey data,and interview content.The sixth part summarizes and analyzes the shortcomings of this study.The practical results indicate that: firstly,the retrieval practice method can fully mobilize students’ learning enthusiasm,improve their classroom participation.Secondly,the retrieval practice method is helpful for long-term memory of knowledge,among which the prompt retrieval method has the best long-term memory effect and is suitable for students at different levels.Thirdly,the retrieval practice method helps to cultivate students’ high-level skills,with prompt retrieval methods particularly outstanding in application,analysis,evaluation,and innovation,enhancing students’ core professional abilities.
