As the main elements of our competitive sports cause,the speed of updating and iteration of athletes is getting faster and faster.The number of retired athletes is increasing,and the employment quality of retired athletes has attracted much attention.To solve the problem of the employment quality of retired athletes is not only the only way for the highquality development of our sports industry,but also the humanistic care of sports spirit.Starting from the field of capital,this paper studies the influencing factors of human capital and social capital on the employment quality of retired athletes in Nanjing University of Physical Education and the countermeasures to improve it.Using literature research method,interview method,questionnaire method,statistical analysis method,put forward six hypotheses affecting the employment quality of retired athletes.The results show that social capital and human capital have significant effects on retired athletes.Among them,social capital plays a significant role in improving the employment quality of all indicators.Human capital is more significant than social capital in employment quality.According to the conclusion,the following suggestions are put forward: athletes should attach great importance to the accumulation and utilization of dual capital;Family should expect reasonably,guide correctly,pay attention to the accumulation of social capital;Schools: optimize the employment guidance system,pay attention to the cultivation of employability;The government should formulate policies to improve the training system and create a fair environment.
