The new era has brought new challenges and requirements to talent cultivation.Aiming at the cultivation of talents in basic education in the 21st century,the educational concept urgently needs to be changed.School physical education is an important means of implementing the fundamental task of strengthening moral education and cultivating people and comprehensively developing quality education.As the dividing point between minors and adults,school physical education in this stage not only enables students to master motor skills during the exercise process,but also is indispensable to the cultivation of students’ social adaptation,independent learning ability,emotional expression and cooperative spirit.High school basketball course,as an important part of high school physical education course,has the characteristics of intense confrontation,strong interest,and collectivity,and is deeply loved by high school students.At present,the teaching effect of traditional teaching method in high school basketball course is not ideal.The speed and quality of students’ basketball skills are relatively slow,and it cannot fully cultivate students’ social adaptation,independent learning ability,emotional expression and cooperative spirit.Therefore,how to reform on the basis of traditional teaching methods,solve the teaching pain points of high school basketball courses,and promote the improvement of students’ comprehensive quality is worthy of research and consideration by the majority of physical education teachers.By using the methods of literature review,expert interviews,Delphi method,questionnaire survey,teaching experiments,and mathematical statistics.In this thesis,two classes of Grade One students at the Fourth High School in Changtu County,Liaoning Province,are chosen to serve as the testing subjects.These classes are split into experimental and control groups,with the experimental group using a flipped classroom combined with a seminar teaching technique.Through a 12-week experimental intervention,I examined the differences between the two teaching methods’ effects on students’ physical health,basketball abilities,autonomy in learning,emotional expression,and cooperative spirit.I also looked at the benefits and drawbacks of using a flipped classroom in conjunction with the Seminar teaching method to improve senior high school basketball instruction.This study draws the following results:(1)After 12 weeks of experimental intervention,before and after the experiment,the p-value for students in the experimental group in the aspects of physical quality such as speed quality,strength quality,endurance quality and flexibility quality was more than 0.05,indicating that the scores of these qualities were not significantly improved after the experimental intervention.The p-value of sensitivity quality is less than 0.05,indicating that the scores of it were significantly improved after experimental intervention.(2)After 12 weeks of experimental intervention,before and after the experiment,the p-value for students in the experimental group in the aspects of basketball skills such as dribbling,shooting,passing,and shooting on the move was all lower than 0.001,indicating an extremely significant difference.The scores of above skills were significantly improved.(3)After 12 weeks of experimental intervention,p-value of the experimental group students in the three dimensions of independent learning ability before and after the experiment was less than 0.001,indicating an extremely significant difference.Students’ independent learning ability was significantly improved.(4)After 12 weeks of experimental intervention,the experimental group of students before and after the experiment in the two dimensions of the performance of affection and cooperation spirit of p-value was less than 0.001,indicating an extremely significant difference.The emotional performance and cooperative spirit of students were significantly improved.This study draws the following conclusions:(1)Compared with traditional teaching method,the application of flipped classroom combined with Seminar teaching method in high school basketball teaching has no obvious effect on improving students’ physical quality.(2)The mastery of basketball technical movements among high school students can be significantly enhanced by the use of flipped classroom and Seminar teaching method.(3)The application of flipped classroom and Seminar teaching method in high school basketball teaching has a positive promoting effect on improving students’ autonomous learning ability.(4)The application of flipped classroom and Seminar teaching method in high school basketball teaching has a positive promoting effect on the development of students’ emotional expression and cooperative spirit.
