Folk culture is the embodiment of the lifestyle and spiritual characteristics of a particular people.The selected folk culture texts in the language curriculum reflect the vision of life,survival beliefs and cultural values of the Chinese people’s folklore.The arrangement of folklore culture in junior high school has three characteristics of combining concentration and fragmentation,complementing obviousness and concealment,and unifying knowledge and practice.The selected folklore events mainly include four categories: material folklore,spiritual folklore,social folklore and linguistic folklore.Through a questionnaire survey,we understand the current situation of teaching folk culture selected texts in junior high school language and summarize the problems of teaching folk culture selected texts in junior high school language.To address the teaching problems,based on the analysis of different learning objectives of folk culture selections,the teaching strategies of folk culture selections in junior high school language were discussed and determined: first,the strategy of interpreting the connotation of folk culture from multiple perspectives,second,the strategy of classroom penetration of folk culture,and third,the strategy of expanding folk culture outside of class.The three teaching strategies focus on the creation of folklore learning contexts,in-depth understanding of folklore knowledge,and identification with the spirit of folklore culture,giving folklore culture "teaching" and "learning" new vitality and vigor to achieve the heritage of folklore culture and the quality of language teaching.The course is designed to enhance the quality of language teaching and learning.
