In October 2020,the General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the General Office of the State Council issued the "Opinions on Comprehensively Strengthening and Improving the Aesthetic Education Work in Schools in the New Era",as well as the 2022 version of the "Art Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education",which further emphasized the value and importance of art courses.Music courses,as an important component of art courses,play an important role in guiding students to establish correct values,essential qualities,and key abilities,and improving their core competencies such as aesthetic perception,artistic expression,creative practice,and cultural understanding.In the process of music teaching,cultivating students’ stable sense of rhythm is the key to helping them experience music emotions,perceive music images,and form good music literacy and aesthetic abilities.But in the actual teaching process,rhythm often becomes a major challenge for children in music learning.For children in the lower stages of primary school,due to their immature physiological and psychological development,conventional teaching methods are difficult to ensure teaching effectiveness.However,there has been systematic theoretical research on rhythm teaching methods in foreign countries for a long time,and three major music teaching systems have been formed.They have developed to this day and have been widely recognized by many research experts and scholars both domestically and internationally,playing an important role in the development of music education.At the same time,the rhythm teaching method emphasizes the need to treat the body as a musical instrument,experience different elements of music through body movements,and connect with the emotional emotions of music.This concept is in line with the learning situation and physical and mental development laws of lower primary school students.However,this method does not provide specific and actionable strategies for solving practical problems in music teaching,such as poor sense of constant beat and unstable sense of rhythm.Through my own teaching experience,classroom observation and exploration,viewing and learning online teaching resources,and consulting relevant literature,the author aims to understand the current application status of the low stage rhythm teaching method in primary school and the problems of students’ sense of rhythm in the process of music learning;Guided by the "Art Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)",this study aims to identify and explore the rhythms that students need to master in first and second grade music textbooks,analyze the main reasons that affect their sense of rhythm,and based on the content of the textbooks,summarize and design specific strategies and forms of rhythm that can effectively cultivate students’ sense of rhythm,and share effective classroom teaching examples,This provides reference ideas and basis for primary school music teachers.
