Since 2016,the research on Experiential Education in primary schools has become one of the hot spots in Elementary Education research in recent years.China has successively introduced a series of policies related to Elementary Education and Experiential Education,and defined the research theme direction in different stages of primary school,junior high school and high school.At the stage of primary school,the Experiential Education focuses on "Domestic Sentiment",emphasizing the combination of domestic sentiment,exploring the regional cultural resources,and developing the primary school experiential education with local characteristics.But at the present time,there are some problems in the development of Primary School Experiential Education with regional culture,such as the insufficiency of awareness of the development,the lack of comprehensive faculty,and the shortage of local support.The purpose of this research is to study the integration of the development of Primary School Experiential Education curriculum and domestic culture.By using the methods of literature research,questionnaire,interview and case analysis,taking overseas Chinese culture of Jiangmen as an example,this research explores the existing problems and causes,and propose feasible suggestions and strategies of the development of Primary School Experiential Education curriculum with the theme of overseas Chinese culture.This study elaborates the basic points of the research,combs the literature,defines the core concepts,and discusses the theoretical basis of the development of the Primary School Experiential Education curriculum.Based on the five dimensions of demand,cognition,design and development,a tripartite questionnaire was designed for students,primary school teachers and parents.Nine school leaders and teachers and five students from four primary schools in Pengjiang,Jianghai and Xinhui District of Jiangmen City were interviewed,four parents were interviewed randomly,and three research and education bases and organizations were visited.The survey has found that the Experiential Education curriculum of the culture of overseas Chinese was affected by teachers’ own factors,school management,and social constraints on the development of research resources in the culture of overseas Chinese.There were some major problems,such as the insufficiency of the subject of curriculum development,the concept of cultural development,the cultural charm,the attractiveness of the curriculum,professionalism in organizational management,and the evaluation feedback.Based on the investigation and practical grasp of the development of Primary School Experiential Education of Jiangmen culture,this study analyzes the current situation of the development,and puts forward relevant suggestions and strategies:change the traditional concept of primary school teachers,strengthen the training and field investigation;improve the teachers’ abilities to comprehensively development courses and build a high-quality faculty;standardize the development of curriculum and conduct the curriculum management on the Experiential Education curriculum;enrich the content design of the curriculum based on the culture of overseas Chinese;break the traditional implementation by the student centered mode of learning before teaching;establish the evaluation system to promote the sustainable development of curriculum;strengthen the top-level support and activate the resources of Experiential Education of the overseas Chinese culture;develop the society,schools and families together and realize the common educational vision of overseas Chinese cultural Experiential Education curriculum.
