In the context of the accelerating globalization process and quality education,the new round of high school curriculum reform puts forward the requirements of adhering to educating people,improving students’ core literacy,and promoting the excellent traditional Chinese culture.As an important component of excellent Chinese culture,Xinjiang’s characteristic culture embodies the spiritual core of the Chinese nation.Integrating Xinjiang’s characteristic culture into senior high school geography teaching is conducive to enriching geography curriculum resources,enabling students to learn geography in daily life,stimulating their interest in learning,and cultivating their core geographical literacy;At the same time,it is conducive to enhancing students’ cultural self-confidence,actively inheriting excellent Chinese culture,and cultivating feelings of love for the motherland and hometown.Therefore,this article adopts the methods of literature research,questionnaire survey,induction,expert consultation,and case teaching to carry out research on the development and application of Xinjiang’s characteristic cultural resources in high school geography teaching.Through literature review,the concept of regional culture and Xinjiang characteristic culture is defined.With the help of constructivism theory,humanistic theory,and Tao Xingzhi’s "life education" thought,the theoretical basis and scientific guidance for the development and application of Xinjiang characteristic cultural resources in high school geography are provided.Through questionnaire survey and analysis,it is found that although Xinjiang cultural teaching has been applied to the classroom,there are problems such as "insufficient understanding of Xinjiang cultural resources by teachers and students","limited energy of teachers under the pressure of entering a higher school teaching",and "insufficient teaching experience of novice teachers".Aiming at the current problems,based on the scientific and typical screening principles,this paper explores the curriculum resources of Xinjiang’s characteristic cultural geography from a geographical perspective,and attempts to integrate Xinjiang’s characteristic cultural resources with high school geography.On this basis,development and application strategies are proposed based on the current teaching situation.Development strategies include two aspects: teachers and schools.On the one hand,teachers need to improve geographical literacy,enhance development awareness,and explore development approaches.On the other hand,schools need to build a good campus culture teaching environment and carry out intensive campus culture research activities;The application strategy mainly combines teaching practice and proposes teaching suggestions from various aspects such as pre class introduction,new class teaching,after-school exercises,and extracurricular activities.It is expected to gradually cultivate students’ cultural self-confidence and core geographical literacy.Based on the above strategies,we designed regular classroom teaching cases and extracurricular research activities integrated with Xinjiang characteristic cultural resources.We also added specific reference opinions to the selected Xinjiang characteristic cultural resources and shared them with the We Chat official account platform of "Xinjiang Local Geography",aiming to provide teaching reference for first-line teachers. |
