The "Double High Plan",officially known as the China Characteristic High-level Vocational Schools and Majors Construction Plan,is an important initiative proposed by the Ministry of Education of China to further improve the quality of vocational education and serve the national strategic needs,in the context of promoting the connotative development and talent cultivation mode reform of higher education comprehensively.The main goal of the plan is to build a batch of high-level vocational schools and majors with international competitiveness and Chinese characteristics,and cultivate high-quality applied talents that meet the needs of social and economic development.Under the promotion of the "Double High Plan",vocational education has entered a new stage of development,and the information literacy of vocational teachers has become a key factor in promoting the development of vocational education.The improvement of teachers’ information literacy is not only an urgent need for the implementation of the "Double High Plan",but also an inevitable requirement for the informationization development of vocational education.Although teachers’ information literacy has gradually become a focus of academic research and social concern worldwide,the study of information literacy of vocational college teachers has not yet received sufficient attention and in-depth discussion in the academic community.Therefore,the study of information literacy of vocational teachers is of great significance for improving the information literacy system of vocational teachers,enhancing their informationization level,and promoting the modernization of vocational education.Sichuan Province,as an education powerhouse in southwest China with a large number of vocational colleges and 22 "Double High" colleges(including one "National Double High" college),has important exemplary and reference significance in terms of its level and experience in vocational education development.Therefore,researching the information literacy of vocational teachers in Sichuan Province can help promote the improvement of the information literacy of vocational teachers nationwide and the overall improvement of vocational education level.This study is based on constructivism learning theory,teacher professional development theory,and lifelong education theory.It uses literature review and survey research as research methods,and takes teachers from eight vocational colleges in Sichuan Province as research subjects,including four "double-high"construction schools and four "non-double-high" construction schools.From the four dimensions of information attitude and consciousness,information technology knowledge and methods,information technology application and innovation,and information ethics and security,this study explores the information literacy of vocational college teachers,analyzes the current status and existing problems of information literacy among vocational college teachers in Sichuan Province,and investigates the specific reasons for these problems,in order to propose corresponding improvement strategies.Research shows that vocational school teachers in Sichuan Province have four main issues regarding their information literacy,which include incomplete mastery of information knowledge and the need to improve information utilization methods,insufficient information innovation awareness and weak innovation abilities,inadequate integration of information technology with actual teaching,and the need for further improvement in information ethics.The specific reasons for these issues include inadequate implementation of information literacy policies,inadequate construction of informationization systems,insufficient information literacy training,incomplete construction of informationized teaching environments,weak internal motivation for teachers to enhance their information literacy,and insufficient resources to enhance the information literacy of non-double-high schools.To address these issues,this study proposes several measures,including implementing policies effectively,improving school systems,optimizing training methods,creating an informationized environment,and stimulating teachers’ internal motivation,aiming to enhance vocational school teachers’ information literacy and promote the development of vocational education.
