| The development of science and technology has influenced the development of education and is constantly pushing the field of education to adapt to and promote the development of society through the use of new technologies and methods, and stop-motion animation activities have entered the vision of early childhood education. Its information technology, collaborative group learning,project-based activities and interdisciplinary nature are in line with the new requirements for early childhood education.Cooperation is an important aspect of young children’s social development, and the development of cooperation skills affects the socialisation process of young children. In practice,it has been found that the process of making stop-motion animation with peers under the guidance of a cooperative common goal can satisfy children’s cooperative emotions, train their cooperative skills and stimulate their cooperative behavior, and play a positive role in improving their cooperative skills. In order to identify the effects of stop-motion animation on children’s cooperative ability and the pathways that influence children’s cooperative behavior, this study used the educational experiment method to select an experimental class and a control class in X Park in H City as the subjects of the study for a period of 2-3 months. The study identified a cognitive interview outline for children’s cooperation,a questionnaire for children’s cooperative emotions,an observation form for children’s cooperative skills and a truck competition test as the tools to measure the changes in the dimensions of children’s cooperative skills before and after the intervention, and designed a stop-motion animation activities including four themes as the content of the intervention.During the intervention period, the experimental class was by giving the stop-motion animation activities, while the control class went on with their regular kindergarten education and teaching activities. After the intervention, repeated measure ANOVAs and mediation effect analysis were conducted the data measured before and after on the four dimensions of children’s cooperation skills. The results showed that the stop-motion animation activity had a positive effect on children’s cooperative cognition, cooperative emotion, cooperative skills and cooperative behavior;cooperative cognition and cooperative emotion mediated the chain between the stop-motion animation activity and cooperative behavior;cooperative skills did not mediate the chain between the stop-motion animation activity and cooperative behavior. Two conclusions were drawn from this study: Firstly,stop-motion animation activities were effective in enhancing the cooperative skills of children in the middle class.Secondly, besides directly influencing cooperative behavior,stop-motion animation also indirectly influenced children’s cooperative behavior by affecting children’s cooperative cognition and cooperative emotion. Finally, the researcher gives relevant educational suggestions: Firstly, select appropriate stop-motion animation themes to develop educational animations and supply educational resources.Secondly, use stop-motion animation activities to create cooperative situations and promote children’s cooperative ability.Thirdly, integrate stop-motion animation activities with the kindergarten curriculum to enrich the curriculum content. |
